Well, Cleo started offering lessons, right? I'm sure that the teacher could use an intern to help out in her lessons, as well as maybe replace her sometimes when the teacher is sick or for exercise classes. And meanwhile, she can teach him some more advanced stuff, because he's not just a student anymore, he's an intern (a.k.a. pre-teacher status)!

One of the nice things about a healthy community like this, everyone is completely on board with all that. Copper can "lag" into inventories from anyones storage system, block palettes get used and swapped around, path designs get copied, etc etc. And theres no issues cause unlike a lot of SMPs they kept it to a small group of friends, who all have no issue with the others doing it! Its why Im so glad they are so picky about inviting new members, the kind of creative environment they have here is already basically ideal. Close friends of the hermits as a group who frequently collab like Pearl, Joel, and Skizz are really safe bets to not disturb that, and I think thats why Gem is really the only "stranger" theyve invited in the last 5 years. Although she was such a great addition right away I feel like she must have worked with some of them

@@ChillCubitoClips I believe in season 8, Scar mentioned to Mumbo that the minecraft building community goes through trends and fads. This is because everyone is trying to establish a build style that sets them apart. Which people take inspiration from. taking the concept and adding their own little twists to it. It's mostly fun and games, a little community for the subgenre that grows and evolves with so many creatives interacting in one place. The problem is, some people tend to get... possessive over styles and ideas. One such event that briefly affected the Hermitcraft sphere(though very lightly) was in season 7 when people were saying Mumbo's mega base was stolen from someone on reddit who did a Subnautica themed build. Which he didn't, he credited the user in the description. What's worse is it's rarely the builder's themselves that get defensive and protective of these styles, it's random people that just so happened to see the same style from different people and decided to go vigilante.

After a few months, I learnt she was a teacher and it clicked. I've grown up around teachers (mum is one), and she sounds exactly like them lol. She sounds like a good teacher as well (be around them long enough, you can tell the difference)

I think it’s relevant that Joel has had the mod for only a few months, but also he’s clearly learning from Cleo’s builds. This statue reminds me a lot of Princess Jelly from last season. Which is good, the hermits stealing from and learning from each other is part of what makes this server so good.

I *LOVE* how genuine Cleo is all of the time and never hides what she really thinks about something/someone. As a seasoned armour stand master of the server hearing her being so impressed by the excentric ''gifted kid'' that is Joel is rather wholesome. Also, *2:02* _''Joel isn't egotistical... no that was the normal armor stand with perhaps a few tweaks, this is a specific type of mod that allows you to do more with them. esmp1 and esmp2 armour stands are way more vanilla in comparison to hc armour stands
