hey mike, it really is worth checking all the cupboards and bins your missing out on like %60 of the items including health, you can open the cupboards and not get hurt if you do it at the right angle. heres some other shit i figured out that might help ya. on the hedges imagine this HHHHH if you shoot the horizontal lines the hedge will open if you shoot the vertical ones you waste ammo and you cant shoot through brick walls, you can also bazooka locked doors to save keys. on the blobs i use the box item and it kills all enemies on screen(most of the time). on the castle stage where you were getting mobbed by zombies use the cross. use the soda bombs on the chucky dolls, you can throw them over the isles, walls and boxes and it kills em 1 hit. i once found a skeleton key in a cupboard on the giant baby stage so i didnt have to fight him. good luck.

Few quick tips: 1) Soda cans are great for the axe dolls 2) Footballs take care of the football players 3) Be conservative about using skeleton keys 4) Save bazookas and potions for the snakeoids. You'll need them. 5) Clown decoys are also great for chainsaw guys and axe dolls

Dark spots in hedges are the places that blow up and please God open the cabinets next time you play. The gloppy thing doesn't come out as often as you think. I would also think that they give you more items later in case you use the password and have no items. Game has great music.

Kevin Yonathan well in his defense Mike was being a little too cautious, yes the "purple glob" AKA the "boogie man" can kill you...if you have 1 bar left. The boogie man only takes 1 point from you, it doesn't kill you instantly upon touching it also, you can dodge it if you're fast enough. Besides it only has a 15% chance of appearing.

This game also has the 6-sprite limit, so if you get 5 or 6 zeds following you around, I believe no other monsters can spawn. Makes life on later levels easier.

Well, I think the two points that really break this game for me is how long it takes to switch between weapons and that the passwords are essentially useless in that they start you with no items on the level you got the last password for. Switching between weapons would not be a hassle if you could assign keys to it like a PC game but on a console, you should be able to do something like pull up a select screen (pausing the game for a bit) and then immediately selecting the weapon you want. The way they do it is just frustrating and does not look like fun.

soo...he never made it past level 10? He doesn't even know you can loot the containers. like the trash cans and the cupboards. you are supposed to loot extra items from those. on the hedgemaze level, you can use the bazooka to blast through the wall sections that have the dark spots on them. you can also use it to blow open doors that need a key. he also says he doesn't know what to use the popsicles on. The popsicles are a cold themed weapon used to kill blobs. as someone who actually visited the movie theater that was featured in The Blob, he ought to know The Blob's weakness. most of the weapons have specific purposed, like the weed whacker for killing those plants. the silverware is used for killing werewolves. Tomatoes are for killing martians..I think...I don't understand that one either...

I can't watch these things...I just wanna friggin' scream at Mike when he doesn't know something in the game. Not like Mike's an idiot for not knowing, just like, ya feel so helpless. I'm sitting here, like, "OPEN THE DRAWERS!" "THE SHOES MAKE YOU RUN FAST!" "YOU CAN SHOOT THROUGH HEDGES AT THE DARK SPOTS!" Even when I'm around for the live-stream, it's too much of a pain to get his attention because youtube chat is completely horrible at high volume. It really is one of the very best games for SNES though. I think I'm gonna play it instead of watching the rest of the way through.

As a kid I never got past the level with a giant snake in some underground tunnel I believe it;s stage 20 or 21 it definitely gets a lot harder later on I should play this thing again it's the game of my childhood :) O yeah and I hate the freaking ant level

really need to open those trash cans and cabinets. you talk about conserving, but are not picking up all the consumables. Also, each enemy is weak to different weapons. You just might find your Popsicle use there. ;) The big problem I had with the game is going though the inventory can really get monotonous.

a great and well designed made game but I REALLY think in an effort to make as many movie references as possible they went overboard with the number of stages and as Mike pointed out with a password system that really isn't helpful (cause isn't there a problem later passwords besides not giving you weapons reduces to only ONE neighbour highly increasing the chances of losing that way?) I don't think I EVER seen this beaten legit from beginning to end lol
