Finally someone data mined / reverse engineered the Ranking System! For years i was wondering why no one tried looking for it in the game's code to understand exactly how it works instead of just guessing. Also happy some of my predictions were true, like it being a weighted round/down and not a simple round/down and time played somehow factoring in.

Slight error here, if yor go through the games code you'll see there is a check for rounds played versus starting round that you joined on, and it wont track the stats for rank until AFTER 3 rounds have passed from the starting round. For most games this is indeed 1-4 but for custom games with the starting round changed and nothing else this would be different rounds (so rounds 20-24 if starting on round 20) or if you join an existing match you have to play through 3 rounds from when you joined for the stats to start tracking

I'd say a tally based on how many buildables you make, or even how many side easter eggs you complete. This would give incentive to put the work in, and fully explore and earn what the maps have to offer.

So technically.. you could just get to Round 11, save a zombie or two at round 11, pull an all nighter whilst having countless tours around the map whilst being chased, and you'll get shotty's legitimately that way?

There’s actually a wall breach on buried with the trample steam where you can just AFK so you can make it even easier

for the tally marks challenges pack a punching every weapon would be a dope challenge or getting a certain number of hdeashots wiht specific weapons

does it matter what map this is done on, are you just using Die Rise as an example? also what command are you using to stop zombie spawns while you timescale ?

I remember during BO2 no one could figure this out. We got to a guestimate which was the right idea but never set parameters like this. Also thought it was rounds played not time How did you do it did you manage to get into the code ? Edit: didnt finish the video lol

So does this system work on a game by game basis or a lifetime basis like MP's k/d ratio? aka it would be infinitely harder to determine when you'd get shotgun ranks if you say, had 200 previously recorded downs on your profile, not knowing what rounds they occurred on while also not keeping track of total rounds played.

What I’m thinking is to get to round 11 on buried then have Leroy hold a crawler for 30 hours and maybe throw a rubber band on your controller so it doesn’t shut off

One Question: As this is Plutonium could it be that the offical ranking system from bo2 works a little bit different? I assumed the team behind plutonium needed to reimplement the system from scratch right?

The ranking system should be exactly the same, it's just a modded client, they didn't have to recreate the entire game or anything@@julezdev6566

Yeah you could still derank back to lower ranks if your rounds/downs ration falls too low, the table shows the minimum requirements for each one@@julezdev6566

Dobby got one more Q: my zombies rank progress isn’t saving in plutonium - any ideas why? I leveled up to skull exited out of plutonium and I booted back up and I’m cross bones again. Also it’s not saving my gun in the fridge too. Lemme know ur thoughts

Possible Tally Mark ideas: 1. Pack-a-Punch Ever Weapon once in a single game. 2. Complete an Easter Egg in under 15 mins. 3. Reach round 50 without ever buying juggernog. (could change the last one to zero downs).

yes, that’s just the minimum round you’d need without any downs to meet the stat requirement

you'd have to get to a much higher round but probably yeah, all depends on what stats you already have. this video was starting from a fresh account
