Some advice for the roof level, obviously things like pea shooters that shoot forward won't work in the back but things like the jalapeno will work anywhere including the back. The jalapeno can also remove the Ladder zombie's ladder on the walnut, or anything explosive works, except potato mine. Kernel pult's corn does small damage but butter does more damage and stuns zombies. Also Pogo Zombie's pogo stick is considered metal as well, but magnet shroom has one use and will attract the closest metal thing to it and will have to charge again till it can attract another metal object.

Matt, definitely keep the starfruit around for the tough levels, they're going to help a bunch in doing damage if you stack them up in two columns. They'll go through normal enemies easily. Magnet-shroom is a super powerful mushroom as well, remember to pack one for levels with any zombie with metal stuff.

Starfruit is basically a 5 pointed peashooter for 25 extra sun and with an extremely short cooldown l, meaning you can basically spam them. They aren't the best when they are 1 or two at a time, but in a group, they are one of the best plants in the game. In my opinion, gloom shroom is better, but you will find out about him later

Matt, Quick glitch: whenever you will need money in this game, There is a glitch you can do. Pretty much when you finish the aquarium mini game, before finishing it, quit the mini game and then go back into it. The game should save and it should put you at the end of the minigame, at that point you can keep finishing the minigame and redoing it. If this explanation is bad, you can easily find it on KZbin.

tip: at the end of the final flag, pool levels spawn in some ambush zombies from the pool, and in the roof, bungees carry zombies and they can be annoying. By activating an ice shroom right before the final wave (will take some timing), those zombies will not appear and can help with your defense. Also, you have to get cattail. They have aimbot.

To stop Mattshea's confusion on how to get the yeti zombie is that he appears on 4-10 of the last level of the fog but you have to go to the menu and click on your name and click "create new account" something like that and create a second account and play through the game till 4-10 (or again the last level of the fog levels) and then the zombie yeti will appear but you don't need to kill him to get the achievement Edit: also he will appear in other levels after you unlock him

Did you know that your final defense line (lawn mower and the other defense) gives you extra money if it still intact when you beat the stage? Buying the roof cleaner might be a good investment for extra earnings. Also, completing minigames are the way to earn lots of money (first try for big and then smaller I think).

Matt you will eventually acquire a plant that helps counter the bungee jumping zombies. It's recommended that you place 2 of them in the second row (horizontally) and 1 on the second to the top and 2nd to the bottom (This also counters Gargantuans, you'll find out soon). I don't think if you've noticed, but the ladder zombies block projectiles "before" being placed down. Also, they will only place down their ladders when blocked by "tanky" plants (wallnuts, pumpkins, and tallnuts), they eat plants like peashooters and starfruits normally even before placing their ladders Don't be afraid to put your "pears", cherry-bombs, and other explosives on the right side of the roof. Countering problematic zombies as fast as you can let you focus on other things like collecting sun You're mostly going to rely on "catapult plants" as offensive plants on roof levels, as putting plants on the right side to overcome the slope of the roof is not very ideal (example: repeaters are expensive and should be placed on the left side) Other than that, enjoy the game however you want! I'm really enjoying this series so far. It's been a joy watching someone playing through the game blind. The big boss is coming up soon, and many surprises are waiting even after you beat the game. very useful tips: 1. 1 cabbage-pult shot = 2 peashooter shots, 1 kernel-pult butter shot = 2 peashooter shots (immobilzes zombies), while 1 kernel-pult normal shot = 1 peashooter shot. 2. roof stages have slightly elevated design which renders normal peashooter like plants (non-catapult) can't shoot zombies unless they are planted on the elevated area. from 19:10 to 20:16 starfruits shooting the roof, not the zombies. 3. buying extra slots before premium (vip) plant addons is recommended. 4. magnet-shroom and coffee bean is like must have combo on some hard levels, since these levels consists many of bucket, ladder and football zombies. that's why number 3 is recommended, since you'd always have to pick certain plants depending on the levels. which leaves you little to no choice to pick some other plants and addons 5. potato mins cheaper to use at the beginning of levels than squash. i kinda like spikeweed unless it's roof level. since no zombies can hurt it except gargantuar and catapult zombies. with the spikerock addon it immobilizes gargantuar zombies for a while.

hey matt, the reason crazy dave tells you that you cant use peashooters on the roof is because the FOUR leftmost lanes aren't high enough for their horizontal attacks to be shot over the incline. unless you have an abundance of sun, stick with the pults and leave the other right tiles for defense/utility (magnet shrooms, pumpkins, wallnuts) man i hope matt sees this

If you use the coffee bean, I recommend using it on the fume shroom because they pass through zombies which basically hits more than one zombie. And they can still hit the zombies even if the roof is at an angle.

Tip: Cattail can pop balloons, shoot twice, and the projectiles it shoots follows the zombies. Although they tend to focus on 1 zombie instead of multiples. Tip2: Zomboss will most likely spawn zombies on lanes that has a lawnmower. So if a lane doesnt have a lawnmower, its still not the end of the world. Tip3: Cob Cannon takes up 2 tiles and requires to be placed on 2 kernel-pults. Cob Cannon is extremely useful for decimating large waves of zombies, beware though as they are the most expensive plant in the game and has a long cooldown. Tip4: Dont even use Chomper, its terrible, unreliable, and takes up a slot. 150 sun and medium to long cooldown, the munching takes too long. Use other insta-kill plants instead. Tip5: Fireballs/Firepeas have a small AOE range. Tip6: Melon-Pult deals lots of dmg, and has AOE. Its quite expensive though. Winter-melon is the same has melon-pult but it can slow the zombies. Tip7: Puff-shrooms can still be used as a meatshield to stall the zombies even if its not Night/Fog. Although they still take up a slot.

The Yeti Zombie spaws on the final level of the Fog stage. (4-10). BUT only on the second playthrough. It walks in at some point to about 3 tiles in, then walks backwards out. So keep an eye out, and focus it hard when it walks on. (Assuming you even go for that, not expecting a second playthrough on the channel lol)
