Zone 8b Citrus - Cold hardy potted varieties in Oregon.

Several varieties of potted cold hardy citrus trees that grow well in the Pacific Northwest.
🍊 🍋 Hopefully you find this useful. USA Schedule: Here's my fertilizer schedule for potted citrus trees. During hot weather trees may need watering every day. Keep soil moist but not saturated. If using my soil mix it is impossible to overwater. Below is my soil mix.
Early spring: (April 15)
✅ Apply Citrus Tone Organic fertilizer per instructions.
✅ Mix water soluble Alaska Fish fertilizer per instructions with Miracle Grow at only 25% mixing instructions. Also mix in Chelated Liquid Iron with other trace elements per instructions.
✅ Check soil PH and apply prilled sulfur per instructions if soil PH is above 6.5 to maintain between 5.8 and 6.5
✅ Foliar spray leaves with Southern AG Citrus nutritional spray.
Mid Summer: (June 15)
✅ Apply Citrus Tone Organic fertilizer per instructions.

💦 Also: (Once a week between April 15th and August 31st) - I use Alaska Fish fertilizer once a week at the following dose because daily watering causes fertilizers to deplete by washing through the pot.
✅ Mix water soluble Alaska Fish fertilizer at 50% rate and Chelated Liquid Iron with other trace elements at 50% application rate. Stop feeding soluble Alaska Fish fertilizer after August 31st.

What do you consider cold hardy? Because the Cara Cara, Washington Navel, Meyer Lemon, and pink lemon are all upper 20’s and are not considered cold hardy.

@@yochanontheseeker1942 You are correct, those are the only that are not cold hardy. They are in pots and go in the greenhouse during winter. Fortunately the Willamette Valley of Oregon stays above 28F for the most part so winter in the greenhouse is a short time.
