Is horizontal suture sufficient? There is no need to suture using the modified Kessler method, or at least to take supporting sutures after the initial repair.

Hello sir I just had surgery on zone 5 on my left index finger very similar to this zone 5 you have here I am a athlete and need to make a fist for a living. I am no two weeks out from surgery. Will I be able to move my finger the same after surgery? Praying my hand will be able to move make a fist the same way 🙏

Nice video. However, the way the horizontal mattress suture is done to close the joint capsule, makes it prone to leave the knot on the inside.
