The T2 310 has a gel battery not lithium, I've got one but still keep it on the optimum duo 1 when parked up 😏
@Ridingreviews10 ай бұрын
i know the first one they tried Gell but the space was to small so they changed to lithium then when they brought out the t2 it had a bigger zontes own gell battery

Oh yeah and BTW you're wrong with the tank capacity it was 15 litre on the T1 and upped to 19 litre on the T2 👌🏻

just sold my 2018 R1200GS Rallye back to the dealer as you dont actually need mega cc to have fun on a bike...i bought a 2019 400cc suzuki burgman scooter on a whim, and the BMW wasnt used from that day, i took it to the dealers for its last service and it only covered the 30 miles back home, was parked up in the garage on an optimate and never used for a year, the smaller capacity was a lot more fun to ride and covered a hell of a lot miles more than the BMW...now i am looking for a small capacity adventure bike to ride and have fun on..I have a short list of 2 to buy new, the 2021 Royal Enfield Himalayan or the Zontes ZT310-T (19")...oh and i have had large capacity bikes since i was 22yrs old, first big bike purchase was a 6 month old 1990 GSXR1100L, yes i am 54yrs old now, done and dusted my high speed near death experiences...time to just chill out, have fun and wish i had done it years ago :D

I never went through the hi-speed game I like my pan 1100 just because of comfort but it is bloody heavy when no moving zt310 is a nice bike to ride and it does has a bit of power to get you out of the way if needs be and it is light and agile the royal Enfield are more agricultural but that is the look and feel they are going for but that will be just as comfortable to ride

Thanks for the ride, this is a good review! Do you believe this would suit a fresh A or A2 rider, or should a newbie look somewhere else?
@Ridingreviews4 жыл бұрын
it would be a great starting point to start it has enough power to be fun not enough to get you into to much trouble it is upright so you can see over most traffic and you can fit luggage so good for commuting msn said it was better than the bmw aswell

My main criticism is no centre-stand which is obviously quite useful on a chain-driven bike. Other than that, it looks great.

li-Ion batteries are far more power dense than standard lead acid batteries and so can be far smaller for the same power, also they don't go flat like lead acid does
@Ridingreviews4 жыл бұрын
You are correct about all of that but they dont lose power to the cold but they do lose power to negitive returns witch is about 200 to 300 ma a day this bike kept on going flat not as fast as a lead acid but still flat

I'd be more impresses by a bike with wire spoke wheels and a 21" front wheel size and less complication throughout - such as the gratuitous zig-zag lines, ADV snout, and "security" electronics leading to constant battery drain. The 12.1 to 1 compression ratio might also be a problem for finding petrol with high enough octane in 3rd World countries. In short, this bike tries too hard to impress with bling instead of true ADV features.
@Ridingreviews4 жыл бұрын
All your points are valid i did say there would be a issue with the battery everyone poo pooed it and guess what the person who bought this bike had a issue with the battery keep on draining itself
@hiyadroogs4 жыл бұрын
Dave, are you apprehensive about keyless ignition, & plipper unlocking on your car? Or electronic aids? No, me neither. There is nothing new about the electronics on the Zontes from a technological aspect. Cars have had all these features for 10 or 15 years. Security electronics have a miniscule drain on battery power if the bike isn't disturbed to make them active. Once set on lock, & switched off, the drain is no more than when keeping your odometer & clock up to date. The Zontes goes into automatic sleep mode if left unattended for a week. To reset, you push a button under the L/H side panel. Lithium batteries have far greater starting amps than an equivalent size lead acid battery of considerably greater weight. As for the 12.5:1 compression ratio, this would have been impossible for a road bike at one time before knock sensors & ecu control. Now, we can have lean burn air fuel ratios with it as well, which allows a T310 on test, to achieve 107 mpg on eco mode. The UM 125 with the water cooled 15 bhp engine, has a comp ratio of 12.8:1. This is almost trespassing on diesel territory. Technology has come a long way. The styling is a matter of taste of course. But all styling is gratuitous, no matter which bike you refer to. Finally, I WANT manufacturers to try too hard to impress me! If they don't, I'll forego a cheap & cheerful Honda 13 bhp 125 for £4,800, & buy a 35 bhp Zontes, with upside down forks, mono shock rear, crash bars, hand guards, keyless ignition, lithium battery, electronic screen, cool touch exhaust, backlit hand controls, diamond cut alloy wheels, & now with the new update, - mono sided rear suspension & TFT full information screen including fuel consumption & average road speed. & all this for just £4,000. How can the Japanese bike market survive?

@@hiyadroogs - Yes, I am aprehensive about keyless ignition. It's just another thing to go wrong and to make a bike too complicated for a DIY owner to maintain his own bike. I want to own my bike, and to not have my bike's mechanic own ME.

Firstly the battery has been upgraded, the second thing, the compartment isn’t just for connecting a supply to open the seat, it can be connected to a trickle charger, third, you say you have to be tale to ride, it has a relatively low seat height compared with most bikes. Finally it also comes in a 19inch wheel version.
