@@kirstymctear5030 I'm pretty "Anti woke" as they say. I think Kemi believes Shes so much clever than all of us, but Shes soooo wrong, bigotry and arrogance are a dangerous combination and She possess both by the bucket load. Chris Philp appears to be her PR manager and is utterly incompetent and the rest of her team seem to be total failures. I'm hoping that Kemi's arrogance and that of her MPs means She'll stay as leader of the opposition up until the nrxt General election. Im a Green Party supporter and hope that her hate towards " woke culture ", her denial of Climate change and the fact that her Government allowed Private water companies to dump raw sewage into our rivers will result in the Green Party gaining more safe Tory seats just like they did in Waveney Valley and North Herefordshire.

As I began a tirade of my feelings about the Tories and their dreadful record of failure they ushered her away. It bemuses me that pundits were talking about her intelligence and ability when she's never been more than a flaky loudmouth. She was marginally preferable to the unprincipled farageoid Jenrick, but that's about as low as bars come. In fairness, Tories didn't have much of a talent pool to choose from, but that was their fault for governing so badly as they shovelled public funds into the maws of their fat-cat cronies. She'll never learn from her mistakes: she hasn't the depth or the humility, it's the familiar Johnson/Truss arrogance with nothing of substance to back it up. She'll probably implode in a few months out of outrage at anyone disagreeing with her. Truly hopeless.

Kemi Badenoch was my Mother's MP until she moved to Wiltshire. When my Mother contacted her MP for help, Badenoch refused. It was because of that that my Mother voted Lib Dem. Immigration is destroying the West. It's just capitalism importing an over supply of labour in, which is a race to the bottom particularly for the working class. Capitalism will never invest in training, robotics or increase pay and conditions if it can just fly in labour. Back in the day the Left understood this, even Bernie Sanders was anti immigration. When one scrapes the bottom of the barrel, one gets only the rubbish ! The quality of British politics is at an all time low. But, if the likes of Reform UK gain power, it will sink even lower. IMHO the last honest PM was Harold MACMILLAN, and the last honest MP was Denis SKINNER. Who in all his years, NEVER forgot those he represented. In most cases putting them way before Party. For which he paid the price. Labelled as "the Beast of Bolsover" when he voted against party policies in the interests of his electorate. And finally losing his seat because of a very fickle public unable to see they were being "conned" !

My take on Kemi Badenoch - She has had no pushback pretty much ever in her life. She's intelligent enough to get by in her life, and she's insightful enough to manage to navigate her way to where she is. However, she has lived in a bubble where everyone tells her how great and talented she is, and nobody actually challenges her. I feel she believes she is right, doing a great job, and is winning the exchanges at PMQ's. She's blissfully ignorant of how she is embarrassing herself and the party. She's not going to change and if she does survive to the next general election, it'll probably see the Green Party, Reform Uk and the Liberal Democrats, along with the SNP, gaining seats and reducing the Conservative Party to a footnote in history.

Aside from individual personality traits.. I think all politicians are equally cursed.. mostly because they don't really have any vision or desire to address difficult problems. They all preach about how they make the difficult decisions but more frequently duck them... politicians have long memories but short horizons. Your recent volg on housing is quite a good example of the problems we face... we need housing urgently, but no one in any part of the country want large scale housing built next to them. And to counter my own comment, in this specific instance, the Labour government decision to impose will is the only response.. despite short or longer term unpopularity.
