I'm so happy to hear a KZbinr talk about scoliosis even for a quick sister second. One of my hips is higher, one leg is longer, and one shoulder is higher, and it's really bad. I get made fun of how I walk sometimes and it's tough in dance when I can't straighten both my legs. I'm going to an orthopedic doctor in August, it has gotten worse, and while I'm scared of what's to come I'm happy you spoke out, so I know I'm not the only one. I love you Sister James! I worked at an AZA accredited zoo and ANIMAL CARE IS TOP PRIORITY. They even test the animal's stress levels (from their poo) and work tirelessly to make sure they have a fulfilling and stimulating life. It's not a prison for them, and like Jame's said, most don;t have a home to go back to. So it really is important to support GOOD zoos because not all are created equal.

This video has really put a smile on my face, as a zookeeper I often see so many negative comments made about the work I and others so passionately do! Vlogaraptor .Art you may be passionate, yes. You may have connections/bonds with other animals, yes. But at the end of the day it is not you living in captivity. You were not take from your habitat or family to be used for human profit. This will never not be cruel. I find it hypocritical that people can say they love animals while eating them and supporting these practices.

You need to further educate yourself before making a hateful comment to someone trying to protect animals that are becoming extinct. Look around your own area. Do you see a safe habitat for those animals? No you don't because we humans are destroying the land and taking up their space!

Amanda S did you even watch the whole video and listen to everything James said on this subject? The zoo’s aren’t just going out there and snatching them from the wild healthy and safe . The majority of these animals are in the zoo because they were injured and would have died in the wild or because of humans destroying their habitat. Then from there they breed in the zoo and either stay there because it’s the safest place for that particular animal because of humans killing them for game or again habitat destruction from humans . Also when born in captivity some animals just wouldn’t survive in the wild as they don’t have the hunting and survival skills because of having to be born in captivity because there mother was brought in hurt or injured or for a myriad of different reasons usually caused by humans . Some of these animals would probably be extinct now if it wasn’t for the rescue, rehabilitation and breeding of them by these zoo keepers/animal conservationists.

When he talked about how good zoos actually are considering the destruction of most natural habitats I got so passionate. Zoos mean so much to me. Some are horrible (I'm looking at you Moscow zoo) but most really help raising awareness and protecting rare species.
