I visited Hannover last month on 30.05. because I am from Northrhine Westfalia and have a holiday called "Corpus Christi" and Hannover doesn't have it. Saw many school classes that day, now I know why, I found a ticket in Yukon Bay from a school kids, they just pay 5 € for a 9 - 13:00 ticket, compared to the expensive normal tickes pricess it is very cheep. Have to explain, that german zoos most have cheeper entrance prices that the zoos in the Netherlands have. I like Hannover Zoo, the theming is awesome....I visited Planckendael, GaiaZoo and Hannover the same month, so 3 zoos with the adventure zoo style. Think my favorite part is the african one. For me, they keep the wrong tigers, a big sibirian tiger in an indian temple? A sumatran or malayan tiger would fit better and compared to the size, the enclosure would not look that small. As I was in Yukon Bay, the show was going on and the seaeagle did not want to fly and just sit on the ship over the polar bear enclosure. The keepers trying to get her back, but she flys on top of the market hall. The part with the animals of the show area is quite new, when I was last in Hannover in 2022, the part was not build. The were formaly some aviarys with south american birds I think. Next to the Zoologicum you can see still the last animals from south america.

As a zoo-nerd stuck on the wrong side of the North Sea to visit anytime soon, I would love a zoo-tour series of Zoo Hannover ☺ I have known about Zoo Hannover for a while now, particularly Yukon Bay, but I had no idea the rest of the zoo was of such a high quality, and this video alone has made it rise considerably in my estimations amongst the top German zoos. Seeing how it all comes together like in some of your larger zoo tours like Rotterdam and Planckendael would be a real treat 😁

This is the most “planet zoo” zoo I’ve ever seen. So many things here just made me go, “Oh that’s that piece from that one DLC.”

I would love a full zoo tour! I just started building a German zoo in PZ heavily inspired by Hannover's and Tierpark Nordhorn's petting zoo areas so I'd love to see as much footage as possible!

Yay finally some Germany trip content, and HANNOVER i think you already know how much i love this zoo, i keep talking about it, i really want to go back to it, such a neat place! Also I'd love a full zoo tour of Hannover! I honestly think the black rhino exhibit is a bit to the smaller side, not too bad, but not something to write home about either, also quite forgettable imo, which is unfortunate! But i was in love with the Somali wild ass and Addax exhibit - Tho i did see them together, so you might just have been unlucky to see them not together, also i like the barrier. Too i think it's funny how the north america shortcut is a cool themed path, while the ones in Africa is just a fence, leading to the main plaza in front of the entrance - Also the north america area is just so beautiful and it might be the best themed area in the entirety of Europe, never have i ever seen such an attention to detail and completion - Also big fan of the Asian Temple, and the leopard exhibit is so gorgeous. Can you send a picture on Discord of the education sign you bought at the flea market, would love to see it - Honestly the Australian area is a bit eh, it feels a lot like a filler exhibit, but wombats are cool (even tho i didn't see them) - And that new amphibian area, just so cool it was under construction when i went there, so i didn't get to see it. For it being a farmyard area, it's great but we went fairly quite though it, farmyard animals are not really that interesting to me. But a feeling i got was we kinda started with the best first, and then slowly it because worse and worse (in some ways) Like the loads of theming in Africa, Afi Mountain and Yukon Bay, and then the asian temple was cool, i just think i found it very boxy and unnatural, but that doesn't mean it's bad my any means, and then ending it with Australia which isn't bad but it's quite unoriginal and something Aalborg Zoo has too (or something VERY similar, which made it a little uninteresting to me at least) and zoologicum wasn't complete so i didn't get to see it, and the barnyard area was imo a bit boring, but i was happy to see the animals not in a small box exhibit, that was neat! - Also great video, would definitely want more from Hannover!

I hate the new entrance, but I guess I am just biased since the old one was my childhood xD I found the explanation for the african penguins funny, you can see a lot of the lore fore yukon bay while going through the passage that takes you to the underwater tunnel :D I think the also made newspaper article saying stuff about the polar bears that are exibited there :D We had a larger australian area but it was scrapped for the asian elephant indoor area. We had a walkthough exhibit for wallabys and an exhibit for budgerigars on top of the ones for emus and kangooroos and wombats :D

Love finding images from Hannover. As a Canadian, we have nothing like it here, but the way the North American space is laid out is amazing! Would love to see more videos about it!

I never knew anything like this existed. My experience is a more no-frills, US boring looking zoo. Thank you so much for expanding my knowledge.

So much there that we could recreate in PZ. We have exactly the right walls and rocks and everything. Maybe the habitat designers used PZ to create their prototypes? 😄 A full tour would definitely good for even more inspiration!

Zoo Hannover is in my opinion one of the best 5 Zoos in Germany. There are a few things that should be change, but only smaller things.
