Believe it or not, it was actually inspired by the ‘temporary’ gallery of Frogs! at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, California. It’s been up for like 8 years now, and is 1 for 1 recreated in that final flash forward segment

If I’m talking hometown zoos, the Queens Zoo, which I’ve been too more than the Bronx Zoo, is known for their successful Andean bear breeding program, in which I’ve actually seen cubs from Nicole and Bouba (the parents of the cubs) to which they were the most adorable bear cubs I’ve ever seen. ^^
@AS-zl4nl Жыл бұрын
Uunless youre very specifically an andean bear fan, you'll probably want to spend your time / money elsewhere. for most folks, it's just going to be another bear. cool, but nothing overly exciting or new. You can safely skip the Queens Zoo and not miss anything you can't see elsewhere.

This video is a deep dive into the National Amphibian Conservation Center, a hub of hope for some of the world's most endangered amphibians. It's heartening to see the incredible work being done to conserve these vital species, whose survival is crucial for maintaining a healthy ecosystem. The center's commitment to research, education, and conservation is truly commendable. Have you ever visited the center or learned about amphibian conservation? Share your thoughts and experiences below! 🐸🌿🌎

My home zoo is the Antwerp Zoo; one of the oldest in the world. Though it definitely shows its age and is limited in size due to being in the city centre, it's a beautiful place that has really evolved. They oversee the international breeding program for the okapi!

Well like I was talking about dozens of times I’m a worker at the Columbus Zoo and we have a lot of breeding programs that are very successful including 5 Polars Bears, 4 Masai Giraffes, 34 Lowland Gorillas, 13 Amur Tigers which is just a few of our breeding success.
@AS-zl4nl Жыл бұрын
"Well like i was talking about dozens of times" who are you talking to, man ? And what is the context? How is anyone supposed to be aware of or know the "dozens" of comments you've made so far? i can almost guarantee you're a boomer with such an incredible lack of social awareness. Also, am an actual biologist, and can tell from your choice of words that you are not directly involved in the breeding programs. kudos to the folks actually doing the work in said programs, i dont know what you're on about.

Love your channel..and appreciated from a former keepers point of view..like your approach..don't try and know everything, just talk about the exhibits. O spent years as a volunteer and paid keeper..amazing how many critics there are on groups like zoo chat..which are seemingly experts on species needs and wants..yet have probably barely kept a cat..its years of experience and expertise that goes into good exhibits..I used to tour a lot of collections in Europe. But never done the states. Would love to for the wildlife watching and hiking too...hate planes sadly lol..really appreciate the US display videos..def some amazing stuff there..have a Playlist of your vids I'm going to work through..Big salute from a former keeper in blighty

Brookfield Zoo has helped out a lot with the Mexican Gray Wolf Conservation. Within the past 2 litters, some of the wolf pups have been transferred to other facilities that will introduce the little ones to a wild pack of their species. I thought it was a crazy idea until I found out cross-fostering is not much of an issue with wolves. The Brookfield Zoo has also been having success in breeding the critically endangered Addax. Brookfield is currently trying to get back on track in breeding Polar Bears as it has been over 15 years since Hudson was the last born.

Detroit Zoo's Amphibiville attraction! Try to visit the Woodland Park Zoo soon, Zak! And plus, 6 zoo trivia questions for you & your girlfriend.... 1) When did the Oakland Zoo's female African Elephant, Donna, arrive at the Tennessee Elephant Sanctuary? 2) What African swine did the San Francisco Zoo once house back in 2000-2006 before the Chacoan Peccaries moved in? 3) Which zoo did a giraffe herd gave birth to a rare brown giraffe calf with no spots? 4) How many new elephant friends would you predict that Osh will have at the Oakland Zoo very soon? 5) What new eagle species would you want the San Diego Zoo to breed at the Eagle Trail exhibit? 6) How many Komodo Dragons does the San Francisco Zoo now have so far? Bubbling Diplocaulus!🐸
