Yeah like the game isn't exactly like the trailers and a couple of them were so obviously just in-engine cutscenes, but as someone not normally into horror games I don't mind that it can take a while for a mutant to spawn. I like the loop of trying to care for and diagnose the animals. What I don't know yet is how to see if an animal is actually sick with a disease or if it's the parasite mimicking the disease. Is there a way to find that out before mutation so I can be better prepared, or am I just SOL?

@@krystaldragon17 From the looks of it, if there’s one ailing animal the mutant will usually not be the one that mutates so I don’t think you can really guess who changes. But I do think you can use the ‘parasite mimicking [thing]’ shots if you know what the actual ailment is? Like the gorilla had a migraine but became a mutant and the one that did still took the parasite mimicking migraine dart.

Second time around, you had the recipes to cure the mutations. Why did you just kill them? Also, is there no good ending to this? Either you die, or your wife, the journalist and doc all die? So I went back and watched someone else play and they did get an ending where only Doc dies. I'm really not sure what they did differently. Seems like this game has some very particular little things that will change the entire outcome.

now that its out, it’s pretty buggy and unpolished. Dunno why they released it before polishing it up, but its gonna get a pretty bad rep till they polish it up more now that its out Probably a situation similar to No Mans Sky i’d reckon, though they might just give up on the game entirely without polishing it up, which would suck as the story and concept are super cool

You were just standing there watching it like you didn’t know what was going on. And then shot it afterwards ?? Was there a reason for that that’s important to the game orrrr ???

If you look closely you can see that during its final phase it has hardened skin. If I had shot my dart at it, it would have bounced off. So I had to wait until the armor fell off and unfortunately that was after it took out the elephant.
