She's wonderful. Shame you didn't get her to get deep into the original zoo tycoon game(2001), it's a lot more complex and has a lot more to do with guest and animal satisfaction. (and quite a lot of financial management as far as i can remember)... Although that might be a bit too close to her actual job? XD Awww.... Now I want to get back to those games.

The Safari park in San Diego has an open exhibit that allows multiple species to interact, water buffalo, gazelles, flamingos, giraffes. It's pretty cool. I've seen animals giving birth in that enclosure as well.

I played Zoo Tycoon when I was really little; it was a CD computer game but really fun. My whole goal was to figure out how to get as many elephants as possible, because they were my favorite animal on land at the time. I wanted to try the game again when I got older and a had a bit more sense of money and more realistic outlook of animals. Unfortunately I lost the game. ;/ I really enjoyed watching her, she has good running commentary that is entertaining to watch.

I think the best zoo management simulator by far is Zoo Tycoon 2. Yes, I know it’s from 2004, it can look simplistic, but: - take a look at the mods for animals; - take a look at the mods for biomes; - take a look at the mods for buildings and other things for the rest of the zoo. There are SO MANY of these mods that just make ZT2 WAY BETTER than how it originally came out. I installed the Radical Remake mod (with all the original animals and biomes reworked to perfection, adding some extra content as well), and many animal mods from ZT2 library (a sort of Wikipedia for ZT2), and just for this being possible, I can say this game is the best choice for being a zoo management simulator, and it’s 15 year old videogame! I hope you’ll give it a shot, I’m sure you won’t regret that.
