Zoologist is in my top 5 Fragrance Houses for SURE! I have tried all of them and keep up with their new releases. I LOVE art in perfumery...I can't stand run-of-the-mill, crowd pleasing, celebrity and many designer houses - I just can't. I want to smell intriguing, unique, mysterious - not just good. Seahorse was good - not challenging at all - masculine leaning but unisex - soft, kind of fresh and musky...Reminds me of a little of Mesmerize by Avon tbh. I loved Squid WAY more!!! Squid, Bee, the original Dragonfly, Civet, Nightingale and Hummingbird may be my favorites from this house - My son LOVES Rhino! Anyway - my top 5 fragrance houses are: Zoologist, Imaginary Authors, Etat Libre D' Orange, Darren Alan and January Scent Project...So. I am a strange girl...Great review btw! I agree on everything you said and agree NOW is the time to try the horse! xox

I'm already so torn on what my first Zoologist purchase might be. lol I love Moth and Squid so much and was already having a hard time deciding, but now feel like I need to try this one before I commit. I need to win the dang lottery so I can just have em all.

Absolutely love Zoologist. Between my wife and myself we have Camel, Macaque Yuzu, Tyrannosaurus, Nightingale, Bat, and Moth in their travel sizes. Still have several more we need including Seahorse, Squid, and Rhino.

Thank you for the great review! A fun fact, Seahorse became my "dumb reach" for summer. It's odd to say that for an artistic, rather expensive fragrance, but that's how it is. That just shows how much I enjoy it. I have tried about 20 Zoologists so far and own 5 of them: Hyrax (my favorite), Squid, Chameleon, Nightingale and Seahorse of course. I will continue on spreading the good word about this brand so many people get acquainted with them.

Great review my dude. It's funny because I've had a sample of this for awhile and it wasn't until I was enjoying your review that I realized it brings up the scent-memory of the Monterey Bay Aquarium near-by where I live but as you stated..."cleaned up." That perfectly describes what this smells like and it's awesome and unique as far as aquatics go imo. I'm considering a bottle myself but I'm completely out of space! lol The struggle, hahahaha.

Great review brother! I have a sample of this fragrance from Scentxplore and its a great fragrance. I have a full bottle of Zoologist Macaque Yuzu Edition. A beautiful fresh frankincense fragrance! ❤️

Unique and different but it does smell good. Sweet, salty, green and musky. Vacation day scent by the water. White tee and flip flops. Perry Ellis Pure Blue is a spot on cheapie but not as smooth or well blended.

I’ve had lousy luck with Zoologist, so much so that I’ve almost written them off, but this one intrigues me. A wee observation, if you don’t mind: Your review doesn’t start until about the two-minute mark. Yesterday I got tired of waiting and bailed, and resumed today. You’re an excellent reviewer so I’d suggest just starting with the review and dispensing with the preamble :) The bit with confidence boosting, lasting scent memory, whiffs and sniffs, it’s all too much waiting around for the good part.

I’m searching for the most realistic aquatic fragrance…only recently been interested in this genre of scents and have kind of turned my nose up at them until I received a sample of Precious Liquids Turquoise Water. I was surprised that I actually liked it, but it still smells so synthetic. Do you have recommendations for most realistic marine aquatic?

No, no, no. This is absolutely NOT an aquatic perfum. It smells like baked cookies. No fruit, no fresh, no sea breeze, no cleanliness, nothing. Bad marketing, too.
