My 1st marriage went the way as described, I waited 7 years to date and then got married. I needed God's grace to forgive my ex, and I put on a happy face for the kids. I was over what she did to me and my life but I was still angry when I thought of my kids and their pain. I told the ex that I had forgiven her and I really did, as I prayed and fasted for her to just be touched by the gospel. Not as much for her sake but for the kid's sake. It took 30 years for the ex to brake down and cry when she realized that she couldn't hold a relationship and 1 marriage and confided in me that she messed up mine and the kid's lives.
