Hello everyone! 👋 I very recently got a used G5n and I was very interested in the freeze effect you showed in this tutorial but found it hard to get right since you need a good coordination with the triad volume pedal / delay button / guitar. I also tried to use the volume knob on the guitar to avoid using the pedal. But then while browsing the updated effect list which are in the v2.0 firmware I noticed a HoldVerb effect which is new. I tried it and it's soooooooooo much easier! 😁 Very similar to the freeze effect you get in the Boss ME-80 but without the need to use the pedal, you just use two buttons and voilà!👌 If I wasn't so crappy with video editing 😅 I'd do a tutorial , I feel our lovely little G5n deserves to be explored and explained, it's like a gold mine! Long live rock and roll! 🤘

Vou fazer sim... :D Por enquanto testa esse clean desse vídeo, usei ao vivo e foi uma sonzeira! Tira o chorus, os delays e muda o reverb pra um mais fraco. A combinação desse comp com esse preamp e gabinte soaram muito bem. To usando essa combinação pra clean base e clean chorus e gostando bastante.

Olha cara... a Gt10 é uma máquina assim como a Gt8 e Gt100. Elas têm tudo o que a gente precisa. A G5n também é uma máquina e tem tudo o que a gente precisa pra tocar ao vivo, ensaios e estudos! A essência (texturas) dos timbres Boss e Zoom são diferentes. Então tudo o que vc precisa fazer é deixar seus ouvidos escolherem qual delas te oferece os timbres que vc mais gosta. CLICK ! :)Thank you a lot my friend for responding my questions !, I meant if it affects the tone if I reverse from right to left -> left to right all the effects, just like a mirror, from the GLOBAL button settings.And I managed to hook up the Zoom ASIO driver with Asio4All driver and now I can listen the Zoom G3X straight in my computer without unpluging the cables from it, so just Zoom->PC and monitoring from DAW (Reaper), so the input is Zoom Wave 1 and 2 and output HD output 1 and 2 (I am sure it's the Realtek driver). Is it ok like that ? Or I need to plug my monitors/2.1 Speakers to the Zoom G3X, I didn't noticed any latency by the way, but I will try with my guitar, which I can't use right now because I am in vacation in the country side with my family and I just got my guitar cable with me for testing the Zoom.

Então cara... vc sempre terá esse tipo de problema enquanto tiver que usar vários tipos de amps diferentes. Sabe como eu resolvi esse problema? Só toco em linha! Uso os monitores de voz como retorno e quando faço shows menores como em bares costumo levar minha Antera 350w. Estou sempre pondo fotos de meus sets em shows ao vivo e ensaios lá no nosso insta, dá uma conferida. Às vezes até plugo nos amps que encontro pelos palcos mas deixo com volume bem baixo e 90% do som saindo pelos monitores ativos que estão espalhados pelo palco. E como venho usando há um bom tempo em stereo, usando as saídas L/R direto pra dois canais da mesa de som, tenho um som muito mais próximo do que tenho em casa usando fones ou meus monitores no PC.

Neste dia eu usei mono mas veja que eu envio o sinal do pedalboard com simulações de gabinete pra mesa de som pela saída XLR balanceada do Cab Box e o sinal vai pro PA e para os monitores do palco, todos eles, a guitarra se espalha por todo o palco. Direct Recording Guitar valeu, meu querido! Aprecio muito essa coisa de tirar leite de pedra. Quando mais novo, eu fazia isso também. Inclusive tenho um vídeo (depois dá uma olhada, música Impera, da Era) que gravei com uma guitarra feita de compensado, captadores sei lê de quê, não podia triscar a mão direita nos potenciômetros que o som sumia, todo o playback, desde os teclados à bateria, eu fiz nota a nota no mouse, pois não tinha um controlador midi, e usando uma Zoom G2. Hoje eu tenho várias guitarras caras sonho de todo guitarrista, um axe 2 xl, baixo, bateria, controlador, monitores de referência top, e um monte de coisas, mas não faço porra nenhuma, toco 10 minutos a cada seis meses. Dá até tristeza. Mas vendo seu trabalho, deu vontade de pelo menos tocar pra testar novos timbres. Valeu, abraço!

Cara, como consegue tirar esses "timbrões" ? Tem a sua técnica apurada também, que conta muito. Mas fica muito próximo ao som de referencia real. De um tempo pra ca tenho pensado, ou se tem uns pedais top de linha, um amplificador top valvulado ou é melhor ter uma pedaleira. Com pedais custo médio ( nacionais, chineses ) e um aplificador digamos honesto (LANEY transinstor) não tem a versatilidade e qualidade sonora de uma pedaleira tipo essa zoom G5N, ou uma BOSS GT100, e olha que nem to falando de fractal, kemper(sei que o conceito é outro), GT1000, LIne 6 HELIX.... Uso pedais, mas o custo benefício das atuais pedaleiras é imbatível.

Sim Paulo, custo benefício e pedaleiras sempre andaram juntos. Você pode também misturar os dois mundos, tendo seus pedais analógicos e uma pedaleira no set, eu gosto bastante disso e ainda adiciono o impulse response com o Cab Box. Rogério, eu nunca usei um ms50. Veja se a cauda do delay continua soando mesmo com o efeito desligado. Se desligar o pedal e o delay continuar repetindo dá pra fazer.

Hi bro... If you put the cabinet at the end of the chain... the chorus, ping pong delay and reverb will not sound stereo. Use a headphone and note that these effects are stereo. Thanks for your comment my friend!

Renato, eu uso o cabo que veio numa impressora que tive há muitos anos... desde a época da GT10 em 2008 mais ou menos uso esse mesmo cabo em todas as pedaleiras. Acho que é 2.0, a única referência escrito nele é essa.

Hi Paul... It depends on how you are going to use it. If you use analog pedals and want to add only modulations, delay and reverb in your pedal set, I think better the G3 or G3n. But if you are going to use only a multi-effect ... Yes. G5 is better than G3 and G5n is better than G3n or G3xn. Thanks!
