as cool as this is you really only had to defend 1 passage and the sky from a couple enemies every now and then not to mention the fact that you have grand cannons which killed any land threat before it couldve reached your defenses. However youre damn good at the game.

FFA =/= 7v1 this map is not suitable for proper 7v1 and you certainly won't want starting army on map like this for that.

The easiest one is acetic circle or something, where you can isolate yourself by destroying the bridges. This, in theory, can be done with any ally I think. Since you can't really mine much, you need the spy, so I don't think soviets work (never even tried) Alternatively, a corner location with only one land approach (like this one) but where the enemy are a bit further away(or at least no more than one that is reasonably close). Because if there are multiple enemy with relatively short land travel to your base, you will die to the first waves of attack they throw at you together (before you have your 3rd cannon up) It would be ideal if the approach is not direct, for example if there is cliff to the side of your base that they have to run by before coming through the opening, so your cannon can shoot them while they run by. (Like an "n" shaped thing, where your base is on the "end" of the "n" and they have to run around the bend to reach you) When I did those quite a while back, I prefer randomly generated all-land map that is... cliffy? Forgot what all the settings are. And at that, usually only one in 3-5 have an acceptable spot to try. AFAIK this can only be done with french, no amount of regular land defense can hold up against literally continuous stream of attacks. Edit: oops, read the menu wrong, this was 1v7... which... is odd... when I played 1v7 w/ starting army, I died before I even had barrack: they all rush me with their starting army. Granted, in this case there were only 3 with direct land approach and there was a good garrison spot, but... why did the top two not rush you? (and in fact, the soviet didn't do anything until you bait him)

The only game that is this old i still regularly play. Plan to start making a remake of it as soon as 20 years has passed with my team(most are Estonians). Will be a free game, free for LAN but otherways online only throw our servers probably, everything is the same (look and feel) but multi os, modernized and fixed, probably better mod support also. Most funding will probably come from Kickstarter. That has been the plan but my company is still young with 3 years, will see if in 2 years things have gone as planned, if so then be ready for the remake Kickstarter in 2020-2021.
