I've played this game every day of my life ever since it came out and before that I played the first Red Alert every day. It's like knitting...my mind is free to cogitate on current matters in my life as my hands and brain are 100% engaged. It is the only game I play. I've tried the other EA products like Tiberian Sun, etc. but naw...RA2 is all I need.

I just wish they'd balance the Yuri faction: 1. Reduce the Yuri harvesting (and to a lesser extent Soviet harvesting) to the same rates as the inefficient Allied harvesting. 2. Reduce the Magnetron range to the same as Prism tanks (since the Allies have no counter). 3. Flying discs - Reduce the HP, speed and/or increase cost since no-one has any counter for it. 4. Boomer submarines - remove one of their missiles and increase cost. They shouldn't get a more powerful sub+dreadnought in one unit at an unfair cost. 5. Reduce Yuri Prime range or remove him from Skirmish games. 6. Add a longer delay and reduce/remove the building damage from the Psychic dominator. That's just a start.

For skirmish it should be there already. For single player modes - on windows if you make a shortcut to RA2MD.exe then edit the shortcut path by adding a "-speedcontrol" at the end. If you are on Linux running WINE, then open terminal and "wine RA2MD.exe -speedcontrol" will get the job done.

Game has a couple of options built in, otherwise if you navigate to the RA2/YR install folder, use a text editor to open RA2.ini (for RA2) or RA2md.ini (for YR) then edit the video options to the screen resolution of choice.
