So fearless and curious, an early inspiration, so sad about the last part of her life!

Thank you for creating this biography of this amazing woman. As much as I've loved her work, I was less familiar with her life than I should be. I'm so grateful that Alice Walker brought her into the prominence she deserved. You told her story well, as well as highlighting her works and other resources/references to pursue. 💜

I intend to revitalize the Black Renaissance when my book gets published soon. This woman is an inspiration to me...and she was to Alice Walker too.

I had her biography and sold it, I am one shameful. But I do have the Last Baracoon. Me thinks I will need to find her biography again.

Just read about her and how her book "Eyes Watching God" was not received well by BM. Such a shame that her work was looked down on.

And WEB Dumbass and the other Black intellectuals shunned her socially and politically also. Shameful men who need their WHOLE story exposed.

have she ever met dr king before?
@TheOnyxQueenChannel3 жыл бұрын
I haven’t seen any resources that would suggest that Ms. Hurston knew Dr. King. She died before the height of the Civil Rights Movement and was not a strong supporter of integration.
