I gre up ant 30 minutes from woodruff high school. My father and coach took me at 5 years old to see Tony Rice play his senior year. I dont remember much about the game other than how wowed my father was at watching him run around and make plays. Which in turn made a me wowed. Between this and my 8 and under coach being from indiana and big notre dame fans led me to to being a life long Notre Dame fan. The 88 title run surely helped cement this. Go Irish!

No Irish fan can forget Tony Rice. He was absolutely electrifying on the field. When he arrived on the scene opposing defenses were neither equipped or ready for what he provided.

I remember my brother always talkin about how he wished that Notre Dame would admit more players and help them with their academics in order to meet the standards of Notre Dame like they did Tony Rice. He was like, "Look what one player from the south can do." My whole family is from Charleston, SC. So we knee about Tony Rice. But he was ans still thinks we need to cut back on that, and it will draw in better caliber players that can them benefit from the school and become scholars.

Chris and Tony are probably my 2 favorite ND players of all time, with Tommy Z in 3 rd. These two were winners heart, soul and gave 110% every game. But their best attribute was they just seemed like hard working men. Guys you would want as friends or in a foxhole. Thank you for the entertainment and inspiration.
