Toei is cooking, egghead is easily a top 3 arc in one piece, they are giving egghead what it truly deserves in terms of animation, and its what egghead exactly needs.

It's the top ! Marine ford is overrated as fuck ! Wano is nice in animation, drama and fights but not so Great in events, egg head is the ultimate arc ! Animation, characters, fights, large scope of events, and super unexpected events as well, starting to reveal some important secrets.. and the drama is better than wano, Kuma's past is heartbreaking truly.

Zoro pushed himself well beyond his limits for King. He canonically said, "If I continue to release Haki like this, I'll die.", while struggling with Enma during the battle. It was after he resigned himself to death, if that's what it took to achieve his dreams, that his Conquerer's Haki manifested and was pulled out by Enma, which actually saved him by giving Enma a new untapped source of Haki. This is illustrated by the exhibition of green flames after this point in the fight, first enveloping Zoro's heart, then spreading to his swords. Zoro is simply not trying as hard or taking Kaku as seriously. Luffy, immediately after the 2 year time skip, had access to Gear 4. He still struggled against Hody and refused to use Gear 4 during Fishman Island. Luffy refused to use Gear 4 on Punk Hazard against Ceasar and was even knocked out once. Luffy didn't even use Gear 4 against Doflamingo until it became undeniable that he wasn't going to make any progress without it. It might seem silly, but these characters are actively assessing their foes and choosing the right amount of effort. Haki can run out, forms like Gear 4th can expire and leave you vulnerable, frequently fatally vulnerable. Zoro didn't go all out against Killer or Apoo either, but you can see the careful escalation of force until he dials them in. He absolutely smoked both Killer and Apoo in a single shot as soon as he felt confident he had their number. He wasn't even using three swords for Killer, but had a janky scythe in his mouth, lmao. And Apoo was humiliated by Iai: Lion's Song. It's a process. Friends and foes both in One Piece(at this late stage of the show, with high combat proficiency) are generally feeling each other out and escalating. In Luffy vs Lucci on Egg Head, you can have fun watching Lucci get absolutely clapped for ignoring this best practice. Luffy and Lucci do completely Haki-less, no technique sparring. Then, they add minimal Armament Haki and Finger Pistol vs. Observation Haki. Then Lucci uses Soru to dodge and counterattack, and Luffy decides to go to Gear Second. Then, Lucci makes a massive mistake and taunts the Yonko into skipping all of that straight into Gear 5. Luffy literally laughs at him, and explodes in black bolts of Conquerer's Haki, warping the ground under him with his Devil Fruit Awakening. Lucci, STILL IN BASE HUMAN FORM despite being a Zoan(!), literally stands in front of Gear 5 Yonko Luffy and says, "This should be interesting!" right before getting speed blitzed from 50 yards, SMASHED in the face and sent flying through several buildings. Kaku literally calls out his name in alarm. That's the kind of check you get if you don't abide by the slow escalation rules.

I am not deep in the One Piece lore, sadly. But why did they deem it a good idea to make some CP-0 giraffe-dude at least so strong that zoro has to actualy work while fighting him. Doesn't that implicate that this guy is on a similar level like King?

Spoiler ahead! In manga Zoro was fighting Lucci for like around an hour, used KoH against him right at the beginning and then even after landing a clean acoc hit Lucci is still conscious and on legs.
