we've all been waiting for this edit: wow it's really interesting that MONDO is their coach, and i like how he speaks to them instead of muting himself like other coaches mid-game. astel's maggie gameplay is anti-camping, which is a huge aspect of these tournaments where you need to find a position to hold. it's off-meta but actually really powerful

They have live coach restrictions for the tournament matches so most coaches choose to mute during matches so the players can play the game as if it was the tourney and make the macro mistakes and learn from them - if they stay on there's a tendency for the coach to do too much field commanding which will leave them vulnerable during the tournament as they haven't been making all the field decisions and owning them. I was mostly watching this team last night, and the biggest challenge right now is that with Astel as Maggie they need to find an unorthodox formula that works for them within the next couple of days so they've been actively changing things up, including Mondo providing active field advice to help explore the composition's potential and limits. I'm guessing two or so days out they will have settled on a formula and they're going to be practicing without live coaching.

Astel playstyle has dramatically shifted from monke-ing everything that moves to playing conservative and poking. It's kinda hard to go on rampage especially in custom lobby and he has to play Mad Maggie which sucks. Also he needs to keep an eye on his teammates as well to make sure that they're up to speed.

Arguable the only good thing about her is when you dmg they get highlighted, and the drill that can be used for shield farming for the whole team. Otherwise, the pros are right but there's always been people in esports history that makes certain characters or champions or plays work...we might see the birth of one right now

Well as someone who spam it since start she good at 2 thing and that things is breaching building and hunting people down, but that only her strong point. Maggie it's just that champions when you play her at 100-80% stamina ( on few first game where you still have focus) she bar none the best duelist up there along side horizon or octane , but the longer you play the more tired you play she became less and less effective. Her weakness also her strong point zero penalties on shoot guns but if you don't really have high focus and missing the peek shoot ( especially with pk) it will be worthless, she don't have auxiliary like normal champions where you can pick everything you want your load out always be lock under shotgun and other you could running something like none shotgun but it will readers you to hunt people down. The tactical actually one of the hard tac out there because you need the right angle to make it work, the ultimate also a bit janky now cause sometimes it's stuck or explode in front of you for no reason, and use ultimate at uphill will cause it's bounce more than 6 times
