The second one had a pretty silly story, but had some kick-ass action that improved on the first one.

Yes, the first one was better (in my opinion) but both of them were in fact good. You see, especially with sequels, things never happen the same way twice. Just look at the Mummy and The Mummy Returns: Two completely different films but contrast to make you love where the story goes even more. But seriously, I really wanted to see these characters in a movie again so accept the film for what it is. Antonio and Anthony can never be replaced as Zorro. They are just too good.

This movie was really bad. But the first one was great

@malcolmmorin Ehhh...no, I have to agree, the second one was pretty bad. The script felt pretty cookie-cutter, and the villain characters had a lot less depth this time around. At least in the first movie, Don Rafael had some characteristics you could respect.

Yeah that guy was stand up. Kidnapping daughters to raise as his own. Using slave labour that he then tried to blow up when he was done with them. Trying to pay Santa Anna with his own gold. Hiring insane killers. Trying to execute 3 innocent men to capture Zorro. He was like, a saint or something. :P
