those are not cities but villages and counties there are many Miao/Hmong inhabited places in China FengHuang ancient town 凤凰古镇 Xijiang Miao Village 西江 Furong town 芙蓉镇 Xiasi ancient town 下司古镇 Pingbian 屏边 Dehang Miao village 德夯苗寨 Langde Miao village 郎德苗寨 Qingyan ancient town 青岩古镇 Zhenyuan ancient town 镇远古镇 Xingwen county 兴文 Wangcheng Miao village 王城苗寨 Danzhai county 丹寨 Rongshui Miao village 融水苗寨 Basha Miao village 芭沙苗寨 just name a few

I'd suggest you visit Wenshan Zhuang and Miao Autonomous Prefecture or Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture on the border of Yunnan province, since these are the places from where you guys moved out to South East Asia, and You can still understand the Hmong dialects there maybe by more than 90%. It'd better that you visit during Chinese Lunar New Year, as villages are mostly empty all year round, only some elders are staying in the villages, young people are in the cities, they only return during lunar new year. In Mengzi city of Hong He prefecture, during lunar new year, Parks like Lvzhou Park will be full of Hmongs dressing in traditional clothes. Yuanjiang Hani, Yi and Dai Autonomous County is also quite good, as many Hmongs there are those returning to China from South East Asia in the 70s and 80s, I think the old generation still remember days in South East Asia.

It's because of the dialect and latin script is flawed, if you compare white Hmong dialect and green Hmong dialect you'll see same word with slightly different spelling. There're actually Hmu、Hme、Hmyo...and more... they are the same word as Hmong, they all written as 苗 in Chinese character, It's like Hon、Hoe、Heu、Hang....these are all "Han" in different Han Chinese dialects and they all are writeen as 汉.
