Hey bud, so I live in ATX and I live visiting the beach down south. How do I know the legal size and the kind of fish to keep ? Is there a guide online ?
@texasbeachbum4 ай бұрын
I have one on my Patreon site for every fish under fish species. Gives you all the information on how to catch them as well. In the surf or bays and legal sizes and limits. It's not free $3 a month www.patreon.com/texasbeachbum but there is a ton of other information as well. If you do join look under the collection tab at the top for fish species. You can also search Texas Parks for information

Billy, couple of things I humbly offer as advice: -Get you some fish grips. You can keep them handy clipped on to your clothing or belt loop whichever suits your attire. -Try not to pick fish up in their gills. Even though they look ok swimming off, damage is easily caused by that method of handling and they can expire shortly after release. That trout didn’t look like he was swimming off strong at all. There’s a reason they’re called Weak Fish. -spool your reels up full of line! Second video you’ve been worried about “being spooled” with that same reel barely half full of line. Your content is improving and so is fishing. Cover all your bases best you can!

This is my favorite video you have made! This was absolute fun! The water looked great! As a videographer, I will say you have been doing an excellent job. Especially because I know you have another job to do. My wife and I will be coming out in an our trailer RV to PINS sometime for about the last four days in October or so. Love watching your show from Killeen Texas! Thanks for all of the work you put into these, especially because you are doing another job too.👍

What an epic day! The gold spoon wins! I am surprised you didn't have to battle the seaweed. Great video!

In your video, you get a little upset about people blocking the road I agree 100% also when parking remember to park your vehicle sideways with the beach makes it easier for passing vehicles parking straight in takes that much more space. We only have so much room down there, especially nowadays with the amount of people.

Yea I get a little upset when people park in the middle of the beach and force us all into deep sand because their shark lines are out in the front. I either park right up to the water or back by the dunes if I am camping

Late summer you get baitfish runs and sometimes it's Ladyfish and sometimes it's a speck...either way it's fun action to cast on that bird action.

The biggest Trout will fly out the surface of the water and break your line everytime. Could have been a jack but they usually stay down except to hit bait on top. All my largest Trout I've missed are rocket out the water...2 tail flips...crash...splash....cut or spit
