I completely agree with you on the fact that I stopped buying Zoya nail polishes because I got bored, it was the same colors all the time. But lately, the new collections are much better. Loved Vixen and those jelly polishes.

I just got 10 polishes from their 10 for $25 sale. They were older shades that still had skinny brushes so I also added on 10 wide brushes. Zoya doesn't really have swatch photos consistently so when I got the polishes, some were different on the nail than in the bottle photos on their website. My fave of the 10 is Ivanka, I'm wearing it now actually. Perfect shiny christmas green. I almost skipped it because of the name because the only Ivanka I know of is *that one* .

We make amazing homemade pizza. Nothing compares to it. My SO introduced me to homemade pizza, and in the summer he puts it on the grill.. so when comparing that to French fries I definitely pick pizza. But if we were talking all potatoes in general…. That would be hard. Now, the Polish.. it’s ok. I haven’t used zoya before, I would consider that blue though if I saw it at the store. I’m really excited for mooncats collection Friday.

I only have a couple of Zoya polishes and for the most part I like them! They don't stand out enough to me to warrant buying a ton of them, but I think they are a great option for picking up solid colors since a lot of other indie brands really like to do fun and experimental formulas. I do appreciate that they are defaulting to using the wide brush alongside other indie brands. Overall, a solid brand of polish! Do they stand out against the others? Not necessarily, but they aren't bad, either. As for pizza or french fries - the practical answer would be give up french fries and keep pizza, but my heart says keep french fries. u_u They're just too delicious. And they're a fun bite-size! And they come in different shapes! And potatoes are good for you!!

Bisoux and Fairleigh are beautiful chonky glittery polishes, yum. I've given up both pizza and french fries (wheat and nightshade allergy) but I do love parsnip and sweet potato fries, especially in the air fryer since it's so fast, lol.

Bisoux, if it's the French word for kisses, is bee-zoo - you did really well!!! I'll probably be keeping my eye on Adara when it comes out on BeyondPolish, I absolutely adore cobalt blue and that flakey has a lovely hint of pink! I do also like the red but I got Orly Velvet Ribbon and they seem to be pretty similar once on the nail, so I'll hold off. I'm in NY myself so I could never give up pizza. I also grew up in CT/NYC region, I too am a certified pizza snob!

I recently bought some Zoya during the Black Friday sale - they had 70% off on orders up to $120 retail value (so a max discount of $84). I got some pretty colors! I’m spoiled by that sale and by ILNP pricing though - I can’t see myself ever paying $12 for Zoya. My favorite colors I ordered were Briar and Lael. I wish they offered the mini size on all their colors or at least more of them. It seems to be just the newest colors that have the option.

I choose pizza because, while I do like french fries very much when they're just right, I don't like french fries other than really fresh. I don't like to heat them up for leftovers because they get dry and you can't eat them cold. Pizza I'm not that fussy with, I can heat it up the next day for leftover (sometimes microwaved pizza is even better) and I can even eat it cold if I have to 🤷🏻‍♀️

I love this collection. I do like the color story. For some reason, it does give me holiday vibes when they are side by side. I was also a little disappointed that Cherri is darker on the nail, but I guess it makes sense in a winter collection. I love both pizza and French fries, but if I had to give up one, it would have to be French fries. I'm from New Jersey too, and no way could I give up the pizza in this area.

Home made pizza is not that hard. We use a pizza stone that you heat up in your oven and the crust is so crisp it doesn't droop at the end. Because it's home made I control what's on it, so it's not a solid slab of tasteless cheese. Nice olive oil, good cheese but less of it, home made pizza sauce is a snap to make and freeze in pizza size batches, basil leaves. Home made crust is great but you can buy frozen pizza dough. Don't do it though. Once you make some sort of home made bread, you never go back. We make a pizza twice a month. it's really that good. I forgot to say, I haven't had french fries in at least 15 years. I never eat fast food. I do fry a couple of things at home, but not french fries. Crisp baked smashed fingerlings are close enough for me.

Home made pizza here too! pizza stone for the win, ours is super thin & crisp, we put Italian herb mix in the base, Passata sauce, two different cheeses usually mozzarella and a strong cheddar, jalapeños and a meat, we’ve tried chicken, prawns, chorizo & bratwurst all amazing. Once you e had home made you’ll never go back.

@@KelliMarissa You can do it! I started by making no knead bread that you can find all over the internet. All you need for that one is a larger oven safe dutch oven pot with lid and a few minutes the night before you want it. Crispy, caramelized and delicious rustic loaf.

I’m with you all the way with being a potato lover! There’s sooo much you can do with potatoes! I do love French fries, but I love baked potatoes, hash browns, and scalloped potatoes even more. So with that, I think I’d never have French fries again and keep to pizza.

I loved the first four of them (bisoux, fairleigh, adara, and inez) but the other two didn't do it for me. I felt like we got 2/3 of a very funky cool toned holiday collection, and then the other two went super traditional and kinda broke the color story for me. This is the first set of Zoya's I've been at all excited about in a while - Zoya was my first nail polish brand that I got super into, but I feel like I got tired of all of the cremes after a while too. I'm loving the glittery stuff from this collection though!

Thanks for swatching for us. I like Zoya as a brand and their 10 free. The smaller brushes work for my tiny short nails and cad reduce the cleanup work. Definitely took some practice to get used to them.

Zoya’s shades have come a long way. I didn’t know you could purchase a smaller size-cool. Tricky fun fact question.🤔 I make homemade pizza with dairy free cheese, so I choose my pizza. Eh. Only the red creme spoke to me, and I have a shade of red like that already. Fun fact was easy, because I'm severely allergic to potatoes. I've been living without fries ever since the allergist narrowed down what was causing so many health problems for me. I would have chosen pizza even if I could eat potatoes. OF course, now I have to use dairy-free cheese, because I'm also allergic to dairy. Since that's the case, all I ever have these days is homemade pizza. And that's not a bad thing.

@@KelliMarissa Potatoes are part of the nightshade family, and I'm allergic to a bunch of things related to it like cayenne, eggplant and raw tomatoes. I can't even touch a potato without my skin breaking out in hives--and that's pretty much what happens to my insides if I eat those things. I can't use pepper spray because that kind of swelling/reaction will kill me if the wind blows it back on me and the spray gets in my lungs. I also can't take medications that have nightshade in them. When I had oral surgery back in the 70s, the surgeon gave me atropine when I was under, to control my saliva (routine protocol for oral surgery). My head got so swollen and mottled that I looked like I had a pumpkin head. The anesthesiologist almost couldn't get the breathing tube in me because my nasal passages and throat were so swollen. Normally, I'd have left the hospital after a day or two. I was there for two weeks before the swelling went down enough for me to go home. Even then, I couldn't go back to school because I still needed help with breathing. They didn't have the portable oxygen tanks back then. I had this green metal canister that weighed a ton and was nearly as tall as I was. It had a wheelie contraption, but I couldn't bring that thing on the bus, and then try to lug it after me around the campus, too, LOL.

Zoya was my first "free" brand and was the only brand I used for many years. However, once I got into indie brands, I kinda left Zoya behind. Also, I agree that I didn't like having to purchase the wide brush separate. However, just this fall I made my first Zoya purchase in years.

I love this collection, especially the fuschia and blue! Those are perfect! I would buy everything except Vixen. I could give up pizza forever and not bat an eye. I have never liked it! I only tolerate it when I'm with a group and it's what everyone wants, but I would never choose it.

I think that bisoux is a derivative of French “bisous” which means “kisses”. Some French words are spelled in the plural with an -x (but not bisou😆). Anyways I think it’s a name that is used in English sometimes. Meanwhile I think Zoya has made so many polishes that they are having to get creative!😅

Also Zoya must think where fools by not offering free shipping like most places do. The only offer for free shipping right now is if you by there polish of the month which I don't like. That is true for the older shades. The new collections have the wide brush by default. It says in the description if it has it. Everything in my Black Friday order still had that old skinny brush but I did get the wide for 50 cents each on that sale! Shame about the waste.

I don't like French fries. I'm French, which makes that fact a little funnier. But really, I find them blend at best, I don't see what they bring to a dish. Eventually the crispness but most of the time they become soggy if you don't eat them right away. Now serve me a platter of sweet potato fries and we're talking. But French fries, I always deliberately ask restaurants to replace them in my dishes.

It's too bad they have lack of customer service. I attempted to place an order with them. After two weeks with no communication from Zoya whatsoever, and when I checked my card they removed the charges from my order, so I cancelled my order. I find it hard to believe they are still in business. While I appreciate your swatch review, I will never purchase from them after the experience I had. I will pay more for better service. I will continue buying from KBshimmer, INLP, Orly, etc.

I don't really buy from Zoya anymore since they made Lights Lacquer change all the shade names of names. I think its unreasonable to claim peoples names
