Thx for this video. But how do You record this now? When I try to record arm the track with the isolated audio nothing gets recorded at all.

I'm kind of struggling to see what this does that I cant do by isolating things with an Eq? The concept looks cool but it would be interesting to know whats going on under the hood.

I am using the TRIAL version of PEEL but when I cover an area of the sound, I still hear the original track and not the isolated sound. I just put in an audio file. Am I doing something wrong? I am new to DAWs so I wouldn't be surprised if this was simple.

Nah man, Photoshop for audio is SpectraLayers. This is MS Paint for audio at best.

There are a few products that are similar like Hit 'n' Mix Infinity, iZotope RX, etc... But the great thing about PEEL is that it's a plugin so you don't have to send audio out and then back in, or use a separate program. Sure, it doesn't go as deep as say Hit n Mix Infinity, but when you don't need that level of detail, it's quick to work with, and it's pretty cheap too.

@@BenoniStudio Yeah, I get it, but still SpectraLayers is also a plugin. It has both a standalone and a vst3 version.
