You got that right! They don't realize if you take care of it. then it takes care of you. They often blame the bikes when it's the owners fault. It's very easy to do research and common sense goes a long way. Changing oil in these cost nothing. If you're not doing it every 500 miles you're nuts. It isn't even a quart of oil lol. Thanks for watching and commenting. Take care and ride safe.

why are you going to grease your starter chain, which runs next to your stator, pick up sensor etc? why not just use dielectric grease for some simple lubricity/grease on the chain? why even grease it in a dry environment? which is sealed? that just seems silly to me....
@parkersgarage42169 ай бұрын
well seeing as you dont know ill help you out. dielectric grease is used for electrical connections. its not sufficient to lube a starter chain. the starter chains are known to break on 190's and they come dry. theres other things that you should grease as well like the starter gear but that doesnt matter right now. you use a thicker grease to stick to the chain. it also protects the chain from rusting. the chain is only used to start the engine via the 1 way clutch then doesnt move anymore if i remember correctly. you also do not have to use a ton of grease on the chain. just coat it evenly is all w your fingers. the grease doesnt affect the stator in any way. you can however use dielectric for stator plug if u like. its also not a dry environment because that case cover isnt sealed. theres a big gaping hole in the bottom. when you take it off road on trails it will fill up w water and mud.

The hp and torque ratings are the same on both engines so I went with 190 for the $ savings to spend on more mods.
@josephsaucedo86913 жыл бұрын
It because of the heat and over heating on the 212 you have to watch engine temperature more and live in a place that's not always hot with traffic. Same thing as most big bore kits Amy this over 200+ is hot getting to hot for the engine and the 190 about 300$ cheaper but you probably will pickup more power from the 4v head then the extra cc in less you do both 4v212 that's putting on a daytona bbk on a zs bottom

The carb flooding will Def cause it for sure. I'd check the needle for the float and check the jets. Depending on how much you've ridden it. It never hurts to check valve clearances. It may be improperly jetted as well. I'd start w the float and make sure all I mentioned is clean. Fix your flooding issue first then go from there.

@parkersgarage42162 жыл бұрын
@@humourless682 ok bud, the pre 2022 engines did NOT have the washer over the shift star. You did NOT have to remove the clutch basket to install a longer bolt and big washer. I did it w out doing so. I rode my bike 1200 miles before I sold it. I also had an issue w the spline washer and flat washer behind clutch basket. Which I figured out and fixed. That big washer you see behind the basket is the shift star. That changed after I purchased my bike and built it. When I purchased my engine it did not have the washer on it. It only had a bolt, which tells me his motor is obviously newer. There may be another issue now that I'm not aware of. As all my vids are older now. I've since gotten away from these bikes and engines. I no longer keep up w them at all. Haven't for quite some time now. Pretty much going on 2 years very shortly. AGAIN on older engines the washer was not over the shift star. You had to install said washer or washers along w get a slightly longer bolt. It's been almost 2 years now so I don't really remember everything. You could very well see the shift star w no washer installed. I rode mine daily and it got me started into riding. I'd say prob the best purchase I made in a long time. I had alot of fun w that bike and went on many long rides. I rode to NY and back which was 65 mile 1 way many times. I will watch that vid as I'm familiar w oo. In the USA we can't get parts from them. So unless that changed not much to say beyond that.
