看了三家牛肉麵，我覺得就是重慶小麵的味道最好，台式牛肉麵很多用的滷包內都加茴香，搶了牛肉的味道，我們也是到處吃牛肉麵，最愛自己煮的牛肉麵，教了很多徒弟自己家裡煮，品質保證又便宜。

When you are homesick, I suggest you go to the Taiwanese restaurants in Metro Vancouver to taste Taiwanese cuisine, such as No.1 Beef noodle House (京園牛肉麵), The One Restaurant (美味關係) and Lao Shan Dong (老山東麵莊). The only regret is that when the excise tax and tip are added, the price will be three times that of Kaohsiung.

Yes I grew up in Taiwan in 90s we still have friends who wouldn't eat beef. After 1949 many KMT soldiers were discharged from the army due to age limit and began to make street food for a living, and they introduced both beef noodle soup, breakfast soy milk and 油條, dumpling, baozi, and 自助餐， etc..

Hi Davies, you should try beef noodle in Taipei city, it calls 穆記牛肉麵, where in 110台北市信義區吳興街239號. If you did not try it, never said you have ever eaten Taiwan beef noodle.😝

wow 30 years have passed so quickly, Beef Noodle Soup was quite common when I lived in Taipei, not the contest level tourism food it has become today, but really good to have some of the time, now I need to come back just for the soup! Even then I would see cattle working in the field pulling plows and equipment (not everywhere, but some of the time), but I grew up around Amish in Northern Indiana so, working animals were (and are) everywhere there.

Thanks for another great video, Wes. When I visited Kaohsiung a couple of years ago, I stumbled upon a fantastic little stinky tofu restaurant, I think it was somewhere near Love River. It was a very cosy place, extremely popular with locals who were happy to queue up for ages to get a table. They serve a wide range of tofu-based (mostly but not exclusively 臭豆腐) dishes, all extremely delicious. Unfortunately, I didn’t take the restaurant’s name or address - have you come across the place by any chance? Would love to go back next time I make it to beautiful Taiwan.
