Jan Ali Jan is the indigenous voice in Shina in Gilgit who has rendered modern themes of marginalization, suffocation and constant deprivation in his poetry. I saw the video and him with the plastic drum that increased my agony that we the mountain communities do not value our own wisdom and voices of resistance.
