Reminds me a few times weeks back when I was in ZF with a group that supposedly had the Mallet. We struggle through it all like you did. We clear the area around the sacred pool of Gaz. Then the guy runs up to the gong and realized he left it back in the bank. So he hearths back to bank to retrieve mallet. 10 minutes later he finally arrives back to us with the mallet and right as he goes to ring the gong he finds out...... He forgot to bless the sacred mallet back in the hinterlands.

Funny thing is that most of these access quests are super easy, but people are too lazy to do them. Didn't play a lot of classic but back in vanilla I got both the mallet and the Stratholme key and people were like "I are tuuu laaazyyyy".

Comparatively to your original speed, the difference between 160% total movement speed vs 163% would seem minimal. However, over the course of at least an hour, you, the rider, would notice the significant increase to speed as your buddy, who spent the time to get the carrot, would be out of your view distance. Even if you still don't think that good enough, the number of other good trinkets before raids is virtually non-existent and even in raids you'll likely only ever get one.

This is why I love classic wow. You make experiences. You get to know people and write your own storys. In retail you q for a dungeon, clear it with ease and leave the group without having interacted in any way with any other player.

Quote miraculously we got through it without any quits but it wasnt pretty. It makes me worry for the harder dungeons...

Zul Farak really brings out the best in people. "Me pulling the cave boss" Get up to pyramid later, clear pyramid, the priest pulls the goblin making the great warlock gear unobtainable as his corpse lies on the floor. The priest is soulstoned by me for the second time, and i tell them by no means to use it in combat, him during the last pull, uses his psychic scream, pulling 2 more packs, killing us all, but not before he could soulstone call us lol players forbeing mad with him, killing the final boss then fucking leaving. We go back in and the trash has begun to respawn, and nobody had the mallett. Sadly due to Zul Farak syndrome i choose not to remember my other 4 journeys.

It's an RP server. Most of the fun people are doing weird shit in towns or PVPing. The people who are ahead of the curve on an RP server are bound to be a bit...unique as it means they have likely ignored most of the central purpose of an RP server.
