Amazing session, interesting how the colours of the cod are different. What do you mean, in the phase, the tide has been away for so long!

Idea conditions for us is when we have plenty surf putting colour in the water and churning the bottom of the sea bed. this is what we call “the sea is away” or “the sea is running”. If the sea has been running too long sometimes the cod come in have a good feed and go back out.

Cracking fishing great video, I use a Century Excalibur C-Curve, have you used the lite and is it similar?

Hey mate, yes I’ve used a Exacilbur C-Curve, though it was a long time ago, I do believe they’re a very similar rod. I believe the XT Lite is a bit slimmer in diameter tho

Cart wing is very much a Northern thing, I do all my fishing on the South coast mainly Chesil and can honestly say I've never seem anyone using it or ever seen it in a tackle shop freezer .

I do agree! I did a year and a half living in Dorset, spent majority of my time on chesil. Its safe to say I was the only person using cart wings. Had great results though!

Shimano Technium mgs 10000 XSB. Sport is stiffer than the match mate yes. XT sits between the two

I’ve heard of a few of the lads using it down the coast around Whitby and Scarborough area. But I tend just to beach the fish and then handball it up if I can’t reel it

Thanks John!! A guy called Chris Ritchie, I think it’s 10p per oz and then 10p for grippers and the tattoo needle. Works out about 80/90p a lead. Which is cheaper than the plastic bait clips!
