Mr Crocket sits in that weird spot where I can say I really enjoyed it, but I can't really tell why. It wasn't great, but it also wasn't "so bad it circles around to being great" either. The practical effects and cgi really were used well though, and goofy B-movie horror is absolutely my jam. Thanks for the recommend!

I think for me at least there's something to be said for a movie aiming for good, not great, but hitting their target. I don't want everything to be like that of course, but we're living in a golden age of really high quality horror media (Jordan Peele's stuff, Ari Aster's stuff, Mike Flanagan's stuff, etc.) so there's room for something that is aiming for dumb fun and nails it.

I'd watch more of these also I find it kind of interesting that you'd never heard of this one, because at least in my circle it was all anyone wanted to talk about for a while after it came out

That's interesting, I feel like all I've heard about the last two months are Terrifier 3 and The Substance (neither of which I've made it out to watch yet).

Found it hilarious, it reminds me a bit of 90s movies and shows like goosebumps, are you afraid of the dark?, little shop of horrors, I really liked the movie 😂
