How have we been sleeping on this Gem as South Africans. Talk about forgotten heroes. Many of us knew him through hip hop but slowly the industry took that passion away from him. But he's still a pioneer and in fact I see him getting even bigger going forward. It was great catching up with him through this podcast and I know it will open mew doors for him going forward. Zuluboy umkhanka, ngikelemizisa abaxhaka, abaqala lesxakaxaka, makuthi bayangxaka, igeja ngiyalgona, mabengang'cishanga ngibhanga wa! That was what was pumping on my speakers in 2005, he brought the Zulu culture to the game without compromising hip-hop. The good thing about Zuluboy he could fit in with everyone, if you are from the North, Soweto, Emsinga, Kwaito, pop, maskandi...the man could blend. I remember in 2010 for the world cup song,Dolly Parton, Sliqour and Zuluboy, the latter made the song relatable to South African by wearing umqhele and pronouncing some two line Zulu phrase which Sliquor also echoed. Dj Sbu do something to "enterish" the social media space for him coz some people have content for days but are not associated with the right people.E.g Ngizwe is successfully assisted by Kingzoso that is why he is relevant.
