I grew up in urban areas. Many words you say are different i.e isibhono, intamo, we say igoji for ithanga. I didn't know anything about inqulu. Izitho are calves. Thank you Thando

I have a question about grammar : It seems that THOU SEE ME or HE SEES ME is the same ? Does it mean that in IsiZulu if I want to say THOU I use the pronoun HE ??? If I am right you must know that in France in the northern part where I live people speak in that way :-) For saying THOU they say HE or SHE :-) Example HE IS FRENCH? = THOU ART FRENCH? Very funny and interesting phenomenon...

Oh yes! That IS interesting. I never knew that. IsiZulu is a tonal language. So those 'uyabona' would be pronounced differently for 'you see' and 'he/she sees'

I feel so much shame as a native South African having to come here and learn like this. To be honest though, I already speak isiZulu I just didn't learn it in any formal environment... I just spoke it at home. Now I know that I need to increase my vocabulary but I'm not sure where/ how to start.

Sawubona. No need to feel shame. You will be fine. Be gracious with yourself. Buy a dictionary. I use Nyembezi's one. But for you, I would recommend the Oxford one. having a dictionary is the first step. Please don't rely on google translate. It usually gives wrong translations.
