Former President Jacob Zuma's corruption trial is due to start in the Pietermaritzburg High Court today. Zuma is expected to seek a postponement to allow him to get new lawyers after parting ways with his legal team in April 2021.

I have never seen former presidents of the country that dropped the atomic bomb be taken to court in like manner. A person entrusted with the secrets of a state should be protected by that state. Simple logic. Sell him out and you may suffer repercussions. Custodians of state secrets should not be degraded but honoured, that's how you keep the secrets safe.
