The yen symbol does not mean there is a junktion there. A yen always means that from the kilometer where it is in the timetable, no more junktions will follow until the next signal at the earliest. In germany we have a word for that its the Anliegender Weichenbereich. And the yen marks the end of that "following junktion zone". These are important because all speedlimits which are imposed on signals only count untill the end of the following junktion zone. That means at the yen a speed limit which was imposed by the last signal now ends as soon as the whole train passed the kilometer shown in the timetable.

Hi, I'm just starting out with Zusi so I've worked my way through your four intro videos, which have been really useful. I've been playing MSTS and successors right up to TSW4 for over 20 years, but Zusi is like learning a different language. So thanks for doing this, and adding to the canon of English Zusi tutorials. I hope you'll do more someday.

Thanks! If you have suggestions for tutorials, let me know. I'll try to do one on ETCS in the future -- once I figure it out myself!

At 1:48 the next stop is marked as Schladern because this is the first stop after the stop which can be seen in the list of the Ebula. Same goes for the trackspeed. When the trackspeed changes after let’s say 30 km, it can’t be displayed in the timetable yet. It will show in the blank under the trainnumber (10922 in this case) as “ab km xxx 40 kmh”.

At the 'P' sign (similar to the halt at a station sign 'H' but 'P'). You should sound the horn for 3 seconds. Sounding the horn in any other situation is frowned upon, except in an emergency situation.
