I ripped my jeans for years now and I found that pretty fun to do while i'm bored watching tv. =) Plus, you are 100% sure no one have the same pair of jeans as yours. this was the first ripped jeans tutorial I've seen that actually worked! it only took like 4 minutes to do a spot, and it looked great afterward! i just rubbed a bit of sandpaper on it to make it look more distressed. Great DIY! :)

i really like this, and its REALLY easy. just a little time consuming. but i also learned (after already cutting the holes) that you cant do this on really big holes. so if i wanted a large portion of my jeans ripped like this, i'd have to figure out another way to do it! :(

My grand-daughter has a pair with stretch lace under the areas that have worn to the point of there being holes instead of threads. I think she bought them like that, but stretch lace would be easy enough to use for patching. I would check out Goodwill and Thrift stores for cheap sources of lace.

This is probably the hardest way to put rips in your jeans. If you take a box knife to your jeans and cut several parallel slits in the areas you want your rip. Then after you're done with that, wash them.
