Ok, I kid you not, I'm about the same mmr as this guy (around 3k on NA ladder) and I couldn't for the life of me win against Terran. Like lost the last 3 games against Terran, just getting stomped by thors, or battlecruisers, or tanks and any late game Terran. Then I watch this video and go on the ladder and I have Neuro's voice in my head saying "more drRrrrrrroness", I do queens for defense, drone up to 80, and there, win 3 games against Terran in a row. unstoppable. Doesn't matter their composition, doesn't matter that I play sloppily at all. I have infinite money, I inject a lot, so infinite larva, and I throw the infinite swarm at my enemy. Bang. This just changed my life. thanks man.

When the terran goes turtle thor/tank like that - you mentioned going viper-lurker. How would you approach it? Stay on the edges and blinding cloud (thor to save viper) and then abduct into lurkers? Or just swoop in with blinding clouds and lurkers? Would swarm hosts be useful in this situation?

Either go Roach/Rav/Swarmhost and fight with the locusts and biles then fall back when locusts expire OR Big clump of lurkers outside Terran base and abduct things into it, blinding cloud and move up IF it's good to do so

I find following a macro cycle helps a lot - inject, spend larva, build, spread creep. Drill this until it becomes automatic. During combat remember to spend larva too (mind you combat can really throw off your game sometimes but it gets better with practice)

Surely this isn't diamond... Just checked the ladder and TerranEZrace is 4400 MMR on NA server. How can that be possible? Is something fishy? His Terran opponent is 3100. I'm a 3400 Zerg and I get crushed by anyone over 3800. How can a 4400 Zerg not know not to create 46 spores? I defend Battlecruiser rushes with Queens and plenty of drones. Something has to be wrong here.

They're much better than you at other things, people of MMR brackets don't fit nicely into conceptions of what each rank should be able to do. I'm hovering around M1 with better mechanics than a lot of the mid GMs I play against - I could ask the same question but I don't need to: They win games that I don't - watching their games can tell you a lot about your own play. If you're better than the next rank up at something, you're likely a rank down in another skill set.

People get masters on NA by 12 pooling every match. Considering the name, complete lack of macro, and forest of spores, my guess is that’s the case here.

This is a Diamond Zerg? No wonder you hit GM. It's like the quality drop in people IRL is actually exactly the same as the drop of skill in players of the vidya games. It's kinda crazy... I hope other servers are better still. Korean silver used to be the same as NA plat. Something along those lines. Hope not all is lost. Glad I quit when I did. This used to be silver or gold back when I played, which was before the expansion, primarily, I became a casual after that. I quit when the Protoss expansions came out. That was the final nail in the coffin. They declawed all players and turned them into greedy no rush 20 players from the SC days. Hard pass on that sheep pen. You need wolves or you end up becoming like the Americans. OH MY GOD IT MAKES SENSE!
