Galio is playable TOP against some AP champions like Malphite, Gwen, Singed, Rumble, Gragas, Orrn. You lose against most sustain champs like Olaf, Dr Mundo, Darius, Illaoi, Tryndamere, MordeKaiser, Tank Cho'gath, (AP no problemo). So he can be good against some picks, but most Top laners lay bricks when playing against Galio.

For all other fello Galio enjoyers, my favorite tech is pressing e with your back to a wall, because you can’t move backward your dash is longer and the enemy doesn’t see the normal windup, it’s Goated tech

The fact that they lowered his AP ratios means you have more build freedom now. You don't HAVE to build like Morde.

Depends on your playstyle. Full AP damage Galio slaps. AP rylai's burn build is fun. Tank bruiser support is good. Galio is versatile.

I don't love his "run it down and take turrets to win even though I'm 0/15/0" play style. The zombie mechanic they implement for his passive is similarly problematic for the game, I'd say. I think for URF they should have the URF Dragon (disables URF abilities for the enemy team for an amount of time) and the URF Baron (applies baron buff to all minions on your team, regardless of champion proximity)

This only makes me wonder how galio will do with items like heartsteel and Iceborn gauntlet. I don't know if that slow is worth it, maybe after the E into the w? But going heartsteel into riftmaker for the HP conversion into AP might be an interesting combination. I'm a little curious as to how quickly HP will effect his w damage reduction. Maybe even getting fimblventer if mana gets rough for the shield.

Secondary runes: Manaflow, Gathering Storm OR Presence of mind, Last stand. Extra facts: You want Archangel's first, because Cass is so mana hungry. Gauntlet might work, because with E you'll proc it often. Heartsteel will easily proc because you're ranged and fast. For the same reason Rylai's will be excellent for kiting, just like bruiser Ashe. So happy to see a character who somewhat struggled in teamfights and felt awkward for only being an AP mage to counter AP mages to now a viable bruiser like mordekaiser. Always was fun playing him but I felt useless in every fight if I wasn't using my ult atleast once and it drove me away from the champion. Very exciting! ❤❤ (Could also make for some funny Zwag videos)

I just realize Banshee's Veil gives Galio +78 dmg while 5× Recurve Bow (like in the video Zwag did some time ago) gives only +75 on hit. With this reset mechanic Galio can be a real slapper. He can be a tank, he can hit hard. Maw of Malmortius gives him even more dmg (+95) while normal ad items like Infinity Edge gives only +65. If he can reset the passive and keep smacking, that will be brutal. Isn't that too much? EDIT Abyssal Mask gives only +63 in case of passive damage. But there is also health I didn't consider.

My build for him is ROA, Riftmaker, Abyssal Mask, Zekes and Jak'sho isn't a build for insta kill, but I think is a build to be tanky enough, with a good damage in tf, and from the items he getting HP to MX his w and the Riftmaker passive, and enough cd for not buy boots of Ludicity that let you choose another accurate boots for the match
