I never 1v5'd until I learned how to play illaoi. Edit: pro tip - if you're playing a matchup as illaoi that is difficult to hit your E on, max Q instead of E. That way, when you do finally hit the E you were looking for, you'll get all that extra damage from your Q passive, which increases your passive tentacle slam damage by 10% for each point in Q. Edit: and another one.... Passive tentacles spawn in predetermined locations based on where your standing at the time that it happens, you can rush to lane and have 3-4 tentacles up in lane before wave crashes, however, spawn locations happen at specific distances away from previous tentacle spawns but if you know those locations you can manipulate them to spawn in favourable circumstances i.e. in aggressive forward positions or defensive positions. There is a great YT video that goes in to depth on this but I can't remember who did it. Good luck summoners and please play illaoi she is super fun and satisfying when you get a 4 man ult that heals over half your health in a fight... Also, deaths dance is amazing on her because at least one person is always gonna die

35:09 Illaoi E can execute the person of the attached soul if the Person is lower than the soul and if the percentage damage on illaoi's E is high enough to finish out the health on the soul then yes it will execute the target ( and also Illaoi's R makes tentacles automatically slam a soul if you have one pulled at the time until the soul is destroyed) both these factors killed her at 35:09

You are close, but not exactly there. E does not execute, it redirects percentage of damage dealt to the soul to the "owner". She was low enough that slamming soul was enough to get the kill. Secondly, ult does not make tentacles attack automatically, they increase their auto-slam speed. It is part of the E: tentacles will auto slam the soul or the vessel every X seconds.

Just for reference zwag, if you get the person lower then the illoai soul you get from the e, when you attack the soul the person gets one shot because the percentage health lost is more then they have due to you hitting them before the soul

Days asked: 131, days skipped: 7, winrate: 94.93% Please build these items: Heartsteel - for HP, ranged champs get easy procs Demonic Embrace - for AP scaling off HP... and the buuurns :) Abbysal Mask - for MR steal (which also scales off HP!) For the other 3 items, you might consider: Seraph's Embrace - for mana, AP and Lifeline (in fact, it's too good on Cass not to build it) Gargoyle Stoneplate - for defenses and a shielding active (again, scaling off HP) Spirit Visage - for Mordekaiser-like shields from Seraph's and Gargoyle... and maybe a bit of extra healing from E? Frozen Heart - for Armor AND mana - an anti-ADC Cass likes it! Rylai's Crystal Scepter - for AP, HP and slows. In case you had problems with chasing things Force of Nature - for even more MR and Move Speed: beat up ALL the Mages Warmog's Armor - for a Garen passive, useful for hit-and-run tactics with Cass' ultimate (yeah, just like an actual Garen lol) As for runes, you can scale HP, mana, defenses and AP even more with Grasp, Demolish, Conditioning, Overgrowth, Manaflow and Gathering Storm, but standard Cass runes should be good as well. Aside from being tanky, this Cass will still shred enemies in teamfights because of Abbysal Mask and Demonic. Please consider it! "WHAT? This Heartsteel Cassiopeia can 1v5 the enemy team! Try lethality Illaoi with dusk blade, grudge, deaths dance, axiom arc and Hullbreaker. Try to get Duskblade invincibility in large fights and multiple ult resets when they send the team after you. I have seen you play AP Illaoi before so this cant be much worse.

Voli beats her so hard. Zwag shouldve died level 1 for taking that fight. Why Voli took e first into an illaoi lane I will never understand. He also HARD messed up the engage near the tower. Could've gotten an easy kill, pushed lane and snowballed. Also the fact that he can't dodge tentacles. Illaoi is a minion if you dodge her E. And that's only a few mistakes he made in the first MINUTE OF THE GAME.

Hey Zwag. Should try Ability haste Mordekaiser: Runes: Conq, Tri, Ten, LS Second wind, Revi. Items: Night Harvester, Nashors, Cosmic and CD boots. Originally, I took rylais to keep up with enemies and Gargoyles but i decided to change it and went R.Hydra and replaced Rylais with Grudge. Got Q down to 2 seconds and Ult down to 45. Kinda trolly but still fun to ult after ult after ult

Me booting up the game: Illaoi is a fun champ and one of my favs but she's one of the most matchup dependent and usually play her only if enough of the enemies are shorter range and/or hard engage. Day 35 of asking for the tankiest Rakan toplane build with: Sunfire for wave clear, Jak'Sho, Fimbul Winter into Dark Seal which works really well with Rakan for some AP (Can be bought a little earlier too) then situational items based on teamcomp either more tanky or some more ap/utility (Demonic Embrace has good stats and passive helps stack up Jak'Sho and keep the stacks, Nashor's is good cause It helps you proc Sunfire and most importantly Rakan's passive shield + Shield Bash so you will auto-attack people a lot, Mandate is cheap and can be really useful too) For runes: Aftershock, Shield Bash, Conditioning, Revitalize or Unflinching Eyeball and Ultimate Hunter (Consider taking attack speed rune for same reasons as Nashors plus It's good for last hitting) This build excelsl in ganks and teamfights cause you have a lot of resistances with Jak'Sho and you keep getting a lot of shields with passive and Fimbul Winter and healing with Q and It's all more effective with resistances
