Armor is not dimishing returns. Each point of armor gives 1% more effective health, multiplied by your actual health. Damage reduction does have diminishing returns, but it also scales exponentially (98% reduction vs 99% reduction is double / half damage)

If you build tank right you will always self mitigate more than you take because it counts damage blocked through resistance, but that is an insane ratio of mitigated to taken lol

It's actually not even diminishing returns on armor though it can be hard to understand. If you have (for example) 50 armor that gives you 50% reduction, your next 50 armor will give you 50% reduction (which is 75% total). Another way to think about it is that going from 90% to 91% sounds like a TINY improvement but its massive. That 1% extra is actually a further 10% mitigation (from 90 to 91).

Correctly built Malphite. Not much to say. Asking for a tank Cassiopeia (on the Rift or the Abyss). Days asked: 267, days skipped: 7, winrate: 97.445% Core items: Archangel's, Heartsteel OR Iceborn Gauntlet, Demonic OR new Riftmaker OR new Liandry's Situational items (pick some): new Rod of Ages, Rylai's, Abbysal Mask, Spirit Visage OR Force of Nature, Gargoyle Stoneplate OR new Jak'Sho, Frozen Heart, Warmog's, pretty much any new tank item Primary runes: Grasp, Demolish, Conditioning, Overgrowth OR standard Conqueror. Secondary runes: Manaflow, Gathering Storm OR Presence of mind, Last stand. Extra facts: You want Archangel's first, because Cass is so mana hungry. Gauntlet might work, because with E you'll proc it often. Heartsteel will easily proc because you're ranged and fast. For the same reason Rylai's will be excellent for kiting, just like bruiser Ashe. Spirit Visage synergizes with your E healing and shielding granted by Seraph's and Gargoyle. Extra points for building all three! "Tank Cassiopeia is secretly OP and I'm gonna show you why!" @Zwag I have a kai'sa build I'd love you to play. it skips manamune and works best against a tankier team. lethal tempo, PoM, Alacrity, Cut down, sudden impact ultimate hunter, AS, adaptive, armor. run sorc boots, nashoors, kraken, LDR, liandrys, rabedons. gets all 3 upgrades, and u get the bonus dmg from cut down, liandrys and LDR for an extra 49% bonus damage, 12 of which is only for magic. but a total of 49% bonus damage. and kraken scaling with ap, great poke, great burst and great brawling. please do this up.

Day 14 of asking for season 14 ww building hybrid damage. Guinsoo’s, riftmaker, nashor’s, berserker greaves, bork, and essence reaver. Play this build top with flash ignite or flash barrier. Runes would be PTA presence of mind alacrity cut the grass, sudden impact, and relentless. Take attack speed, adaptive and health as well.

22:48 Actually not true @Zwag , You get the exact same amount of effective hit points for each point of armor. Lets say 100 armor = 50% reduction -> 200 armor = 75% reduction, each 100 armor does double your effective hp against physical damage so it is not diminishing. 85->87 reduction is 13.3% less physical damage taken

Take Revitalize, it makes ALL sorts of shields larger, included Barrier. All sorts of healing, included pots and regeneration. Once I knew that it's now my most favorite rune to go along with basically anything, from early to late. Top that with a visage and you get an extra 5 or 10% added depending on current HP, plus Visage shield+healing boostage. Yes, it works with grasp of the undying, you'll heal a bit more, it's not much but everything adds, most versatile rune there is. I use it in my Triple Shield-Baiter build for my teemo mid. Which is basically running mid with demolish, going tear early Locket + RoA + Visage + Barrier + Chemtech Putrifier (grants that grievous, has mana regen, has AP, some haste and 10% extra shield + healing power, sadly... they're gonna get rid of this item so I need to get into the drawing board again). Just run down and start eating turrets, fight the enemy whenever you want, if you're low HP you can activate Locket, then Barrier while you're fighting them and get baitoven immediately. Your visage will make all these shields big. I do it with teemo since I can run away effectively and because global taunt master yi's, shacos, akalies, katarinas, zeds, irelias, nocturnes, rengars, under my turret when they think they killed me and 3 different shields pop up in their faces. It's not about the damage, but the mental outrage you can cause, your only enemy is the turret, push like a madman.

4 mins in and this Yone is the typical player who is showing no respect on a busted champ. Ends up dying for no reason. I cant wait to see you smash on Yone and Yasuo. Also I personally would max W first since it increases bonus armor. Great against heavy AD comps.

Hey Zwag, if you're ever top and they pick a ranged champ, go Kennen. I've been getting so many top games against ranged Champs recently and it's been so funny 1 shoting them.
