Having just recently been dealt a broken heart this song resonates hard. I've never wanted to leave life of the ones I truly love but damn its wild the emotions love and sadness can invoke. Until I die of a broken heart I'll keep listening to this gem for another 20 years and continue trying to find sense in it all. I feel lost, deflated, used, and just complete sadness for a life that once thrived with love. @@samhawksworth1716 well I almost actually died about a month ago from a pulmonary embolism so that definitely pulled me from my slump. Having something almost kill you will make you realize this life can be taken anytime so its about experiencing all the good and the bad and you gotta embrace them all to really feel alive.

I saw him twice once in Milwaukee in the Eagle Ball Room, another time in Chicago, I can't recall the venue. But it was amazing. I liked the Zwan songs they had a good vibe.

My buddy Pat died last year in may. He died of a heart attack along with a broken heart from a divorce. I wouldnt mind being next. Theres nothing left since moms gone and now Pat. I hate my life. I'm not being suicidal but I feel like theres nothing left to live for. I never got married and no kids. Too fucked up to have that ife I guess. I just feel no purpose anymore. When you're 44 years old no body hangs out anymore. Everybody is to themselves and distant. I used to reach out but not anymore. Just how life is now. I'm not fishing for encouragement either, just saying for some people life changes for the worse, and it gets dark and lonely. I just want someone to read this and be like yeah I feel the same way and maybe have a beer and identify with each other. Misery loves company right??

@@michaelwandell2533 Man I really appreciate this reply!! So I prayed a prayer to God yesterday morning on the way to work and said "Give me a reason to stop drinking and hating my life". I ate lunch at my job that day and heard this song that was really touching me. I looked up the song and read the lyrics and started crying. It's as if the Lord was speaking to me through this song from my prayer. The band is called TENTH AVENUE NORTH and the song is "By your side". It might not move you but it did me. We look for people to give us love and worth but we are human and disappoint each other. Its God we are unknowingly searching for. I've realized this.

Mary Star of The Sea is a good album. Got me through some tough times. You should also check out VNV Nation. "Carry You" is a great song.

I bought it back in 2003 and didn’t think much of it at the time. I thought it was too soft and lyrics a bit wet. There are some good songs on there that I can appreciate more now. Some of the Zwan deeper cuts that didn’t make the album were stronger imo

Funny story...my buddy James bought the cd when it came out and it had a Zwan sticker in it and he gave the sticker to me. I put it in my dresser and forgot about it until years later. I bought the cd used at a store and it didnt have the sticker. So I searched in my dresser and found it. Now my cd is complete lol🤣😂
