those are some freaky looking machines. I thought they were going to use the huge beam to smash the building down with.

Wow, that's really cool! Of course, these guys are going to a lot of unnecessary work here. Today, we know that a small amount of jet fuel, randomly placed, does the job at a fraction of the cost; concrete pulverizes and steel is reduced to silly putty; no need to use shape charges, electronics or engineers. The entire demolition industry is suffering from "do it yourselfers" employing the methods used on 911.

Michael Dean I know right. After watching 9/11, I thought I could demo concrete steps with some jet fuel. So I bought 100 gallons of jetfuel and lit them up. I was so surprised it didn't pulverize them into fine dust. What happened? It worked on 9/11. I guess jet fuel must burn hotter at higher altitudes in New York. Silly me. I even went a far to build a to scale rc plane and flew it into the side of my steps. I was so shocked to find out all this effort it didnt even make a scratch. Thank a lot Osama Bin Ladin. Some engineer you are. I trusted you extensive background in building demolition. (SARCASM everyone with no common sense)

what is the fog on top?

+Hans Nossing Thats dust coming from the concrete when being crushed

The Rebel 22 thank's man!

+Hans Nossing And iff you pause the video at 1:26 you can see there is a small (garden) waterhose running up the machine to spray for the dustcontroll. That also creates the 'fog'

They must be paid on an hourly rate! They should stop wasting time and use a lot of carefully placed demolition charges, to bring it down in small pieces. The concrete can be taken away and crushed to get out the rebar.

Not every building can be brung down with explosives. If something within a quarter mile is too sensitive they will not use them.

Or maybe dust is a factor. Imploding causes massive amounts of dust.

Wow very slow and expensive demo. Too bad they could not just use some dynamite and bring the whole thing down in a few seconds.
@JostheRebel8 жыл бұрын
+Robert DeMilo The dynamite companys need 6 weeks off prep time/work before the building can brought down in a few seconds. lets see how far this machine will be after the same time...
