You are right, but TBH I was mentally defeated with a KM to go, needed to be more aggressive, and nearer the front - all thinking around the aero went out the window.

I just love to ride, around 100 km a day average for the last 2 years. 3 hrs rest and I'm ready to go again. I was nearly dropped 3 times there, any proper lumps in the road whatsoever against those guys and I'm a goner!!! As soon as I'm upgraded I'm going to get totally hammered.......

@@MrLootshoot for a flat course there were a couple of hairy moments. I fancy doing that again with a smaller (hopefully slower field) and trying to push on those inclines…
