Great video for beginners 😊 my zwift hub comes today! I’ve been relentlessly watching videos the last week and this is one of the better explained ones! 👌🏼

You can "fan view" any rider to see their heart rate and power data in real-time during a race, without using Sauce. It's also common in large/well-attended races for teams to use a DS to relay information about competitors to team members. One could argue that sauce "evens the playing field" for solo riders, when a team with a DS is present. If Sauce is banned, then using a DS should also be banned, and the fan view feature should be disabled during races.

Good points! I didn't realise some people took these races so seriously, but if they do then I think there definitely needs to be a way for the playing field to be more even. I still think that each riders power and heart rate shouldn't be viewable by other riders

I think your video is very helpful. I'm debating specific points to give you something to think about, but please don't take that as dislike in general. I like the video a lot overall. _"I still think that each riders power and heart rate shouldn't be viewable by other riders"_ Not a Sauce issue. Anyone can see all that without sauce. _" I didn't realize some people took these races so seriously"_ Well-attended A and B cat races involve a lot of strategy. Even C at the pointy end. I've been in races where people started flipping out because a participants heart race is suspicious, or a rider is blowing up the field but not wearing a monitor. If you really want to see serious, win a division in ZRL. (said elsewhere) _"Only pc and mac unfortunately, that's another reason I think it's quite unfair, as not everyone can use it."_ This seems a little misleading, because Sauce *is* available to everyone, the same way a direct drive trainer is available to everyone. It's just an equipment choice. Just because ATV has numerous limitations, doesn't mean that everyone else should be subject to those same limitations. Otherwise, the same logic could be used to say that everyone should be forced to use the Zwift Hub trainer because it's harder to sprint on some trainers than others, which can have a much bigger effect on race outcome.

What if you attach a heart rate monitor to a vibrator

Love watching your videos. I've been zwifting for about 3 years, almost skipped this since I thought there was nothing to learn only to realize I've been using the draft power up completely wrong. I'd go to the front of the group to pull😳. You learn something new every day. Also is sauce for zwift only for PC and Mac or can it be used in apple tv?

Glad you found it useful! Only pc and mac unfortunately, that's another reason I think it's quite unfair, as not everyone can use it.

Get a big screen like 56” minimum. It’s soo much more fun. Do it

I get why not seeing someone’s heart rate is possibly good, but the flip side is that Zwift has a lot of riders who don’t use any HRM at all and these people often finish in high places, which seems to me is even more unfair. Rather not race against Black and Decker users and much prefer seeing actual human metrics. Good video, thank you.

I’m new to Zwift. However if you feel sauce is cheating, surely trainer difficulty at 33% and not the 50% default is. Isn’t it ?
@JMower9 ай бұрын
Anything that's not 100% trainer difficulty is cheating.... In all seriousness, the only reason I say sauce would be cheating is that it's only available on PC and Mac. It's not available on other devices so it's not a level playing field
