RTX 3060 Ti | GTA Franchise (3D Games) - III, VC, SA, IV, V, Remasters

When GTA IV is better optimized than the GTA "remasters", you know something went very wrong. They're still a huge disappointment despite the minor improvement patches. If you ask me Rockstar should just re-release it made by themselves and not have them outsourced to another small-time company who THEN outsourced to yet another foreign company. What were they thinking? Your GTA videos in general are usually my favorite ones. GTA V in particular is a good metric of what a (used) GPU needs to be able to play to even be considered to be bought for modern gaming imo.

For gta IV, I HIGHLY recommend installing the vulkan api, it is literally just a drag and drop into the directory. It will eliminate most stutters once shaders are compiled and is a lot more enjoyable.

To minimize the bloom effect, you could try lowering the in-game brightness, I have observed that at higher brightness, the bloom is more present than at lower, also it looks way better at lower brightness

Remember kryzp in gta San Andreas near there is a demanding area near emmets store ,near a house because of the wires and smokes of the cars ..a 1080ti drops to like 30fps there with a lot of smokes at 4k 4x msaa

I think that the weird frame time graph in San Andreas is because of the cpu bottleneck. You can see that it becomes normal when the gpu goes to 100%. For example when there is lots of smoke. That should explain it

Yes but the only thing that he could actually do is increase the resolution to see if gets better, because now we don’t have many other better CPUs than Ryzen 9 5900X, only the 5950X and the core i9 12900K

Note that the Definitive editions are basically not optimised as the original game, so you will get lower GPU utilization even if you have a good CPU... And nothing will beat GTA V optimization level!!!

Its so weird how the definitive editions run🤔 and its also confusing how your gta 5 runs so smoothly when i cant even get those fps on the same settings and I'm CPU bound for some reason. I would love to see f.e.a.r games here also from the oldest to the last entry fear 3. On gta 4 you need to do a visit to a certain place where the game engine bugs and it wil send you and your car flying if you do the bug in a correct way

I've found some very good solution for gta 4: 1) cap your fps from nvidia control panel to 30/50/60 to get silky smooth gameplay.(loading times will be longer tho) 2) Download any optimised enb mod it might make your game smooth automatically by killing all the stutters and lag.

The budget combo is actually great, the 12th gen platform will allow for pcie 4.0 support on the 6500XT so it won't run like crap. The 5800X3D is pretty good, I was thinking of getting it for the benchmarks but since we're close to next gen I'll wait :)
