@@jordanandersen3676 I did this a month ago. I'm still looking for a new card, just to give you an idea of how barren the market is. Sometimes you have to do what you have to do. At least it's a cheap card, and maybe one day you'll need a backup card for your or someone else's system. If you need a computer up and running it will give you a display. That's where I was at since my old one died on me. Obviously can't play any games from the last like 10+ years. If you really want to play games it can run older ones, I've just been playing Halo 1+2 on it and been having fun. It is what it is, and I don't regret throwing $60 at it. Good luck finding a real card for your rig though!

@@dronyx_5904 If you need a new PC just do it and throw it together for now. I had to do that with my build while I hunt down a graphics card, and hope it's not marked up over 100%. You can't really game on it, but you'll have a working PC that's fast in every other regard. So far all I've been playing on it is Halo MCC. It runs Halo 1+2 fine, as it should. With Halo 3 the performance drastically drops and it runs very choppy even on the lowest settings. I haven't tried but apparently it can run Half Life 2 on max settings...That's something... If you really want to play games on it there's decades of old PC games to play on the cheap.

Thank you for this video and the advice on getting the 660 instead of 710! I recently built my first PC and because of stock issues with the 30 series I was going to get the 710 for the meantime. If it wasn't for the advice I would probably have been stuck with the 710! I have just secured a 3070 but for a month used the 660 which was great for the money. Thanks a lot :)

Needed a low profile card that can fit my cheap tiny desktop for my emulator pc. This card worked just fine and I can finally run Tekken Tag on PS2 without lag on the Ogre stage. Definitely would have gotten something better but the i3 4150 wasn't exactly going to run anything more for me than emulators. Glad these cheap cards are still around, they certainly fill a niche spot for some people.

The point is simple. This card isnt made for new AAA titles, but it can play games like Left 4 dead, cs:go, gta v (very surprising). Just don't forget that you have to have ram and a cpu.

This graphics card is actually better than a 2008 Intel GMA X4500 IGP I had previously until today, because I just purchased it (Actually a 2GB GDDR5 version), and runs games at much higher resolution at 60 FPS without lag spikes, or stutters (Not that modern games which are in this video, but like AudioSurf, GTA San Andreas, NFS: Most Wanted, NFS: Underground, Doom 3...)

just bought one. i'm sure many people are missing the point about a 40$ GPU. it really gets the job done, two DVI/HDMI out plus one standard VGA/projection out is really more than 90% of people would ever need. in fact, as someone who works in graphic design, and some 3D, I might keep the idea of getting another one for a small PC dedicated for work. just, for the sake of Celestia, please use nVidia's driver. don't let your distro recommending you the "Nouveau" just because it's "free-er than thou", the CUDA and other graphics support is disastrous.

@@FloatSamples710 been building PCs since I was a kid, and in retrospective games now are not optimized at all. sorry but getting a RTX for games like KSP2 is a nonsense. Games are 100 gigabytes for little visual improvements, unlike the past decade where really upgrading an ATI radeon to a 9800GT really made an insane difference. now, sorry to say that but PC gaming is a complete scam. 100 gigs for an average game with woke / political motivations, necessary win10, software as a service, a plethora of bugs and needing a new GPU. I hate being right.

Everybody saying bad about GT 710, please keep this mind it only cost around nearly 3k and it is affordable for most, if you have a low budget you can only buy a few GPU, if you have a higher budget you have a lot of options , i cannot afford GTX versions so i brought GT 710 and it does the job for what i paid, so Respect what ever gpu you have, even it is integrated graphics card, also many couldn't even afford gt 710 or even a pc, so be happy with what you have.
