You are a godsend! I’d just turned this off out of anger after 3 hours of looking for the 99th.

Yeah, as a lot of people (including myself) couldn't find this particular 99th coin I intentionally left it uncollected till the end of the game.

It's need to be mentioned that this is a recording of an old Dizzy VII version. In up-to-date one (1.5.x) the 100th star in the chamber is been taken in a process of the game (not after the all others). The door may be unlocked with oil. Also some ppl says there is a 3rd ending in the latest version but I have no clues on how to achieve it.

How did you unlock the door to the secret chamber?

It opens automatically right after you get 99th coin

@@p.m.p.m.p May be it depends of the version of Dizzy (I've completed it in 2022) and for opening the secret chamber you should oil the jammed door by the oil can. It definetly doesn't open automatically after collecting 99 coinstars.

@@СергейОбухов-ю9ы6ч It's version dependant. Since ver. 1.5.x this door is opened with Oil. And there is aditional 3rd ending since 1.5.x

aaaargh i've completed all the puzzles and now I'm stuck on 97 coins! Got the one on the cloud jumping from the Vertigo Cliff screen, any idea where the others might be? The Tinker gives you a few but all the others just seem to be visible on the various screens, are any hidden?

Hi, There are no hidden coins (behind the trees etc.) All are visible

But there was a known bug that one coin may disappear if you died and restarted the game without tape reloading. In this case, rarely, one coin could be unreachable (not reappear) and authors were going to fix this. If you're not wasted all lives and died completely - you are safe. And guy who found a bug reported only about one disappeared coin. I'm not sure if authors already fixed this or no. So you may try to restart from scratch (reset RAM) if you lost hope to find it.

@@p.m.p.m.p thanks for the reply! I didn't lose any lives... But I did answer a bunch of the Tinker's riddles in quick succession without picking up the items he gave, so I'm wondering if the coins bugged out there.

@@doovstoover9703 if I recall tight The Tinker gives one coin at all - for the last puzzle. No more coins for puzzles.
