Zeus presents Zybex (un-emulated) for the Atari 800xl, a true classic from the golden era of Atari gaming which must not be forgotten alongside the software house and all programmers that were involved in making this game.

Well It's about time someone uploaded this game on the Atari 800xl in full as It's such a cracking game.
Blast your way through 16 levels solo or with a mate with many different weapons to help you to reach your final destination Zybex.
Fantastic game, well worth the money considering it was originally released as a budget title. Great metallic looking graphics & sound.
Endless hours playing this with mate 2-player mode, cool shooter!
I have used an infinite lives version so I could upload the entire game for your viewing pleasure.
I hope all you Atari 800 fans enjoy this upload.

Proud to say that I finished the game twice at the age of 10 on my Atari xe65. In terms of gameplay and music it was years ahead of its time. First time I finished it I remember that after level 10 I could actually see the gaps between the enemies and the bullets (dots) and I was moving in time to the right place to avoid dying and that felt really great. Predicting where to move and choosing the right weapon for every enemy is what it takes to beat it and it felt so satisfying. It was a really special game. Still mentioning it to people after 30+ years.

I completed this game twice as a kid, watching it back.... I don't understand how! Well... actually it was spending every single moment of multiple school holidays playing this game! And yes, the end was disappointing, but I appreciated that memory was short.
